whats wrong with the engine? ok so why will it smoke after start up? when it heats up it starts smoking.. why? anybody know so far i heard its the oil seals or the piston rings... if thats it how much is it to fix? :(

white smoke = water or alot of times new parts WILL SMOKE FOR A DAY MAYBE 2 my koyo brand
new smoked like a mofo
blue/gray/black = oil

black = oil

if its blue/gray/black coming out the exhaust i suggest u compression test or check if ure gettin any blow by out of the oil dipstick if so yo piston rings are prob gone

yeah so far 2 people have told me its the piston rings... or the oil seals

btw how much will it cost to replace the piston rings? :ugh:

If it continues to smoke after start up, and it's gray smoke like you said, then your oil is slipping through to the cylinder and it's more than likely rings or valve seals/guides. I don't think it's valve seals because they expand as temperature increases. This means they would block the oil from coming in unless your oil has thinned out so much that it slips past rings and seals anyway. Change your oil if you haven't done that in a while and/or check compression like someone already said.
