been there done that. when i was 17 some guy came up to me and swung at me it hit my head at an angle so it didn't hurt much but i took my board across his head. then a few of his friends came after me so i dipped. One of my friends saw him an hour later all fucked up, big ass split across his forehead. We later became friends.

i started feeling that smack after a while, my martial arts teacher always told me an open hand can inflict even more damage since it covers a greater impact area, and a closed fist clenches your forearm muscle slowing down your swing...
