Short Throw Shifter Question

If your gonna get a short shifter get a B&M ive driven several 240s with them and they work great hell esties been using one for years and has never changed his tranny so most of these people are incorrect. just make sure you properly install it or it will brake.

ya B&M is what im getting for sure. i have a sr20 trany...will the B7M ka one fit or will i have to get one made for a sr20 trany?
 
Ok now I'm confused I thought all a short sifter does is changes the pivot point to allow a shorter shift compared to stock? What is all this about not allowing the synchros to engage correctly?!?!?!
