The track will be an open track setup we are going for a very casual drift day. No real course will be outlined. You drive the line you wish to practice. However If you are driving outside your abilities we will black Flag you pull you off the track slash your tires(kidding) and then you will be confined to the lower portion of the track. This event will cater to both novices and more advanced drivers, but safety is our first concern. For the advanced drivers who wish to DRIFT the banked oval you have to prove yourself first on the lower part of the track till we give you the go ahead to drift the bank. Any driver who hits the wall will be black flagged and will have to go back through tech before they can continue to drive again. We don't want any incidents and there really is no reason for any to happen as long as we all drive within our abilities.

Nah Thats ok.
I just realized I'll be in Houston that Weekend covering the Champ Car and ALMS races.
Good luck with your event.

i wanna hit this one up! but i gotta tinker with stupid broken studs on stripped hubs :( and crappy front tires that need replacing....and then i wanna pull my front out more......but we'll c..if not im on for august for sure..n the same car that hit the wall ;) and rob bring the waiver on I'll sign it!

i neeeed a helmet so i can participate! how lenient is osw on helmets... can i use a moto x helmet?? lol someone tell me, cuss i mite have to go buy one..uhh i saw one at wallmart for like 80 bux :D

I realize for some money can be an issue but if there is one thing that you shouldn't be cheap with is safety. Particuarly a Helmet.
Get one with a Snell Rating of SA95 or better. Snell MA is ok but are not fireproof.
DOT helmets are good for the Paramedics afterwords as they keep the brain from splattering around to much other than that they are only good for planters and fools who ride Harleys.
