Shift-Lock.com's OSW Drift Practice April 16th!!

**** man, this sucks, what other competitions are going to be going on? I was really looking forward to competing in this.
 
It has been? Since when? Would've been a good idea to have made an announcement as soon as you decided to cancel the comp. I already have some people angry and disappointed that the comp was cancelled. Oh well, I'll still make it to event either way.
 
God damit! I was really looking forward to having a competition... can we at least have cones on hand so if someone wants to follow a set course we can??? I want to pratice being able to drift under competition like conditions..

No but that suprise might still include some money and or some parts! Which you could then use that cash at the strip joint then after you run out you can pawn the parts for more cash to go back to the strip joint!!

The decision to cancel has just come about. Its not like it happened 2 weeks ago. We planned on making an official announncment on Monday. But we don't want people just registering for the cheaper practice and forgetting about this months practice considering it will draw funds away from the repavement plan. So we needed to be careful about how we announced it.


What other events you ask?
Drift Fury and Drift Fest who we are now working with. have competitions within 2 weeks of our date and the fast truck drifters series on the 22nd of april. So we thought the best thing to do would to be to bring it back to a practice but have some rewards at the end of the day for Drivers who have progressed through out the day or maybe acomplished something in our eyes since we started these.

Ok guys my only beef with cones is this.


PEOPLE HIT THEM ALL DAY LONG!!!!!!!!!!!


Do you realize how much seat time you will loose by people having to run out on the track and fix cones every run????

I didnt even know about drift fury and drift fest, the fasttruck i know but i cant compete in those since i dotn have a rollcage.....at least at the end of the day it might be worth going to..

thats pretty cool, to award progression. might i add.. ahem... i went from Fwd maxima auto, to a 5spd 240sx and ONLY drifted at the track. that is the only place i have ever slid it. and last event was my first! you know just throwin that out there...... u know, just puttin it out there....... in the open...........im a noob..........

well...... this is true... i guess we will imagine the course and drive it, but maybe just like 2 cones plz?

have people stand near the cones on the track, im sure theres people willing to help out.. it's all communication.

Nobody stands on the track unless they are the flagger and are behind the wall or photo people in the barriers in the middle. Thats track law for insurance reasons. Its just not safe.
 
i didnt mean stand on the track lol... i meant in the infield grass area out of harms way or on the other side of the track to cover one area and then 2 on each side of the infield for the other and than one by the flag person

No dan people go off the track into the grass... when you're new you screw up and it happens.. That's how I got the "mud" jokes
 
so then the photographers are in danger, im calling the insurance company first thing tomorrow morning!! SAFETY COMES FIRST HERE AT SFLDRIFTERS.CAWM!
