You can look up the abortion stuffs. Its all true. They had nurses who witnessed this testify in front of the senate. Obama was the *only* sentator to not vote in favor of this being considering a crime.

Late term abortions are disgusting. Seriously, I'm about to start pharmacy school and could not afford or even take care of a baby. If my girl and I were pregnant we would certainly get an abortion within a month. Some people get bigger and act like they're just gaining weight...Abortions after the third month should not be done unless necessarily needed. That's were I stand. As far as government taking a role in it...Maybe it should be left for the states to decide.

OnTheIssues of Obama said:
Ok for state to restrict late-term partial birth abortion
On an issue like partial birth abortion, I strongly believe that the state can properly restrict late-term abortions. I have said so repeatedly. All I've said is we should have a provision to protect the health of the mother, and many of the bills that came before me didn't have that.

Part of the reason they didn't have it was purposeful, because those who are opposed to abortion have a moral calling to try to oppose what they think is immoral. Oftentimes what they were trying to do was to polarize the debate and make it more difficult for people, so that they could try to bring an end to abortions overall.

As president, my goal is to bring people together, to listen to them, and I don't think that's any Republican out there who I've worked with who would say that I don't listen to them, I don't respect their ideas, I don't understand their perspective. And my goal is to get us out of this polarizing debate where we're always trying to score cheap political points and actually get things done.

After reading around, Obama supports partial birth abortions only in the case that the Mother would die if the procedure wasn't administered. The bill that would have banned partial birth abortion had no provisions for that.

I agree with you, if it is true that Obama supports these acts, I'm against it. To tell you the truth, I'm a very open minded person. I am voting for Obama because I agree with him on certain points. I don't agree with McCain on many things, but I still like him. I agree with you on a lot of aspects Tony, and lately I've been feeling like both these guys are idiots. I'm starting to think it isn't worth the 2+ hour wait in line to vote for these dicks.

I'm starting to have thoughts on, dare I say it, staying home and not voting for no one, fuck em.

flip a coin. im bringing one to the polls with me. seriously.

i was speaking about this thread to one of my co workers and she brought up a good point on the whole partial abortion thing. sometimes when abortions fail and the baby is delievered anyway, the doctors are expected to finish the job. but I believe that once that baby is severe from the mother that child is a human being of the US and deserves the same legal rights.

**News flash** About 80% of people voting don't understand the issues and are voting because of who there families are voting for. I feel your pain, the amount of ignorant voters is remarkable. It just comes down to some of the views you have on some topics: Gun control, abortion, education, war, stem cell research, energy etc. I believe guns should be controlled, women should have the right to choose, republicans have money therefore don't fund schooling as much for the fact their children attend private schools, war is complicated..., religion burns bridges in scientific research, energy is complicated as well. All in all it's pretty straight forward who I am voting for. You are right though, anything about a president is viable to use against him. I don't think I could even vote. I just had knee surgery and when I stand my knee swells and turns red... I think I'll die if I stand in line for 3 hours...:(

you should of did an absentee ballot.

That's just sad, this is what I'm talking about, if it's been 5+ months and you still don't know/are denying you're pregnant, you deserve to be prosecuted if you have an abortion. If I was a chick and had unprotected sex with some guy, I'd be getting checked, not only to see if I'm pregnant, but also to see if my hoey ass got a disease, within the first or second month. It's just irresponsibility, on both their parts too, because if I was the guy, I'd be all on top of that bitch to get checked up too. There is no reason to have a partial birth abortion, unless you're an irresponsible dumbass.

That's what I'm talking about. That's what happens sometimes after an "induced labor" abortion. The baby is supposed to come out still born, but sometimes it survives as "premature." What happens after that is that the Dr.'s leave the babies to die. Some loophole makes that legal - they're not allowed to cause physical harm at that point though. So they just stuff them in closets and wait. When they tried to make that act a criminal offense and require that another physician be present to care for the child, Obama was the one and only senator to not vote in favor of it.

How long is this country going to have to babysit Iraq? How long is this country going to have to waste our American tax Dollars, while Iraq sits on it's huge ass surplus? Fuck Iraq, I'm tired of that countries shit. Take care of yourselves.

You shouldn't let it get to you. I dont think anyone was going to validate that post with a response, both candidates care about the troops (duh) and both want to end the war favorably for both sides. They just want to go about it in different ways.
