Somehow I think it's going to be a little more than a thousand of those kids. I personally think that stuff poisions our youth like any other vice found thats commonplace these days --And I thought painted boobies only existed at Woodstock! Hoo-wee!

Either way, I'm probably gonna upload some tracks when I get home from class today, so stay tuned.

okay about the "drum and bass has always been around" how old are you. i've been clubbing in the dark back rooms since 93. d n b hit hard in the US a few years later. and the DJ rap who's that was a joke ive seen her spin D n B and didnt even know who she was cause D n B so new to us at the time. i remember when underground was underground. no tickets. no id's. no age limit. drugs drugs and more drugs. and so much ****ing love. i really truly miss those days and the only vibe that come close ive only found outside of the US.

No offense but I hate talking to people that turn interests & life expereinces into some kind of competition. It's like "how long have you drifted" threads when people start chiming in and saying they've been drifting since they were 5 just to sound superior. But w/e, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

If DnB was new to you when you heard DJ Rap spining you were most likely exposed to an entirely different kind of scene out in the west (if you were going since 93). One of my best friends has been mixing Jungle since the mid-90's and I still have stacks of Jungle tapes from that era. I myself have been physically going to parties since 94, my freshman year of HS. My first exposure was "The Edge" in Ft. Lauderdale. I actually got arrested that night b/c I had to break in to get in. Anyway, yes, Jungle DID exist back then. I was going out to places in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami though which most likely had a dirtier and more modern scene than anywhere else in the state. Does it really matter though?

Nope. Because it's off-topic. :D

I'd also like to politely ask that if anyone wants to brag about how long they've been "in the scene" or how lame Ultra has apparently gotten over the years --which I can honestly care less about, since this is my first time attending-- feel free to start a new thread about it.

it's all good, I felt the thread was going in a direction I didnt want it to go though.

I just saw a flyer for Ultra this weekend when I went down to the District...looks pretty sick. I heard there's some crazy long walk you have to take after parking though...anyone know anything about this? The only Ultras I went to were on the beach so parking was typical to any South Beach adventure.

i dunno i read somewhere on the other page there was gonna be painted boobies and i forgot to put it in my first post so i went to do it again so it added but you already posted and now its a new replyyyyyyyy..... wanna carpool? ;-)

well it depends on where you park, if you go later on during the day you might have to park farther (unless you luck out) but last year I went with chubbs, guillermo, alex, jorge and christie and we had about a 10min hike to ultra. It wasnt that bad though. But like I said it really just depends on when you show up.

Dan you should go...we can hit up some oxygen bars...lmao! :D

It's official - my trio is going to be performing in the Florida Favorites tent, next to the Eco Village tent, on the way towards the #1 main stage. :) I hope to see you guys there! My name couldn't make it to the flyer, but I'm perforiming with 2Sweet & Lots.
