///// EVENT DATE HAS CHANGED FROM JULYY 29TH TO AUGUST 12TH \\\\\

DETAILS:
From the Beginning to the End. This is a Clinic and a National Pro-Am Series brought to you by The United States Drift Associations (USDA). This will have two things going on at once. One part of the Venue will have a clinic for those that want to master those hard to figure out maneuvers and the other half will be a course setup for practice. Professional Drivers will be available for instruction during the Clinic. The Pro- Am Series will start at roughly 3:30pm. Anyone that has registered for this event is welcome to compete in the Series Event.
Comp Details:
Your car must meet Formula Drift tech inspections to run tandem. If you make the Top Eight you are not required to run Tandem if your car does not meet the proper requirements for tandeming. You WILL NOT be removed from the Top Eight. You will simply be put at #8 in the top eight. The Top Eight will advance to the Regional Event to be held at Mid-Ohio and at which point they will be required to have a vehicle that will pass FD Tech inspection. And you guessed it right, you do not have to use the same car that you drove in local series event. But you can not “Share†a car with someone else in the same Series Event. The regional event will have the best drivers from all over the East Coast competing for the national spots.
The Top Eight at the Regional will advance to the National Event. This will be all the best Amateur drivers in the country. The Top Eight Drivers will get Formula Drift Licenses for the 2007 season.
Limited number of spaces available.
Event is rain or shine.
10mph grounds speed and 5mph paddock speed.

///// EVENT DATE HAS CHANGED FROM JULYY 29TH TO AUGUST 12TH \\\\\

The United States Drift Associations (USDA)??:
South East Drift Association, US Drift, Drift Association, Daily Drifter, Club FR and Just Drift. These six companies came together to form one unified body to find the best amateur drivers in the country. We came up with a National Series to advance the Amateur Drivers of today into the Professional drivers of tomorrow. Once the best drivers are found it will make it easier for Formula Drift, D1, WDC and whoever else comes along to pick from the best in the country with having to go through Qualifiers.

This is for Serious drivers wanting to learn more about controlling their car and possibily going all the way.
Maybe when the track is done and we start holding bigger events there, thats when we can start pushing National Series Events there..
Remember if you are not at this Event you are eliminating any chance to get a FD license for 2007. And also any possible big named sponsor looking to pick up a good driver..

I guess thats what most people are missing here. This may be only a Misc event to some, but this is the Series that will take you to the Top of your Drifting career.
Lets just say that you arent' interested in FD for 2007. Thats ok, because if you make it to the Nationals then you'll be recognized as one of the best Drifters in the Country.
Now, when a big named Sponsor like Nissan, Ford Dodge, Kumho, BFG, Fuzzion, etc, are looking for someone to drive their newly built drift car, where are they going to go? Before.., people had to try out and send in all kinds of info and what not. Now all the sponsors will have to do is make one phone call and say, "Hey that guy that was in your National Series that ranked ??, What is his contact info?" And Whaa-Laa, you have a sponsor tracking you down..
Much easier I think than sticking around the local areas and *****ing and moaning about how you can't get a sponsor to pick you up and give you a full ride. In this particular Series you will have to pay for 3 events if you're lucky. Local, Regional and then National. I think a total of $450 for being one of the best drivers in the Country is a pretty frikkin good deal.

so itz gonna cost lik 500 bucks to do the events and u "might" get sponsored.for a lot of us small town guys this stuff can get exspensive cause majority of us here i kno would hav to drive thier car there.i thnk majority of the people wish they could make the trip n enter this clinic but more then likly maby one of us would drive out of state.i jus kno it would suck to go there and not pass tech or only get a hour or 2 of track time.if only sum1 could bring sumthing down here for us florida guys you'd see there r more drivers out there.the last d1 clinic n homestead had to b at least 3 years ago and then after that nothing.evry1 has sumthing goin on n another state with d1 but here nothing. but none the less id lov to make this trip to atl and drift it sounds lik an awesome clinic and atl is closer then cali hehe

As far as Tech, if you car is in decent shape and passes tech at Shift-Lock events or DGT, then you will be fine. You only need a cage in order to take part in the final8 tandem, you can make it to final 8 and just not run tandem, you still made top8 and are invited to regionals. If you get the regionals invite then you better go get a cage, or borrow a car that has one to take to regionals.

As for transport, I think I'm already full. Right now it's Kleen555, myself, bishoptaner, and Rob D. If youre really interested in going, get back to me after Aug 6th and see if anyone flaked out.

This event would have been a go had only 25 drivers signed up. Since Chad and Chris stepped down the Pro-am event was stepped down as well. due to this fact we are canceling this event because even at this point in the game if we dropped the price to $100 we would have to clear 40 drivers just to make this event happen. without the help of the PRO-AM backing or Chad and Chris this event can't happen the way we planed. We will continue to bring bi monthly events to the south east with our old but new again president Mike Sims. We at SEDA plan on running events like we always do. Laid back and fun just like a family of close friends would do.

For those of you who don't know... Chad and Chris have left the internal drama involved with SEDA to join a more mature and relaxed company, Drift411.com, which they will be hosting events for. Despite everything they have done for SEDA, their efforts were apparently in vein as far as the other owners were concerned. So now the remaining owners have their chance to run the company the way they see fit.

Further more, SEDA is no longer a affiliated with the US Drift Association, Pro-Am Series or Formula D. Drift411 is taking its place. And from we've been told, SEDA no longer has insurance. B/C of this fact, the Southeast Pro-Am qualifier will be moved to Lowe's Motor Speedway on Sept 3rd and will be hosted by Drift411 and US Drift.
