School pics?!

When I use the computers in school I can access this site but I can't see any pics anyone posts ]=... Why?!
My friend was on a different forum and was able to see pics??
I used to be able to but after a while it just stopped showing the pictures.

My work Laptop shows some but not others. IT is a Dell to. I think it is just restrictions built into the computers or network.

Awe damn that suckss. Whatever whats weird was that not too long ago i was able to see pictures and the next day i wasnt. Thanks for the heads up
 
Depending on where the picture is hosted. I know i can't see any pics linked off myspace b/c myspace is blocked here.
 
I delt with the shcool district computer security back in high school and they probably firewalled the related sites. See they get pissy and start firewalling shit when they see it pop up in the internet history too much..... those bastards!
 
Usually they just set restrictions based on content. The content filters' databases are located and managed by whatever company's subscription service the school/district chose to go with. In my case, its Surfcontrol. I just select catagories like "guns, tasteless, pornographic, social netoworking, ect" and surfcontrol takes care of the rest. I can also turn it off whenever I feel like it but I like keeping my job atm.

more than likely they are running something like websense, so it will depend where these pictures are hosted....
 
99% of the schools where i am have "websense" and it blows hard.
im actually there right now althought im a substitute teacher hahaha.

but yea, no fkkn AIM, no pics. I can't even log OUT of yahoo mail cuz it blocks the page haha. AND i've tried web proxies but websense filters out "proxy" so they are also all blocked.

im doing a 'learning impaired class' today... middle school SUCKS.
 
one of the easiest ways to bypass it is google web accel... sometimes it works, the thing is that websense adapts.... so if you visit a proxy site and it works, more than likely the second time you return it will be blocked.
 
ol to boxmod. I hate subs that are dicks and actually make people do work. My last sub didnt give a shit so we were able to do what we wanted
 
Screw Proxys!! I had the same problem. I access from school too, but using Gpass. (google "Gpass") That right there is the shit, lets you access what ever you want in school, or work with out the servers knowing your identity. You have to download it and save it on your USB drive and open it at school. Thats what I do.
