My friend Lee and I found this guy wandering around in front of Moroso yesterday dragging a leash and he was scared, skinny and dirty.
So we lured him with some pizza and finally got him in my truck.
I gave him a bath and decided to let him inside and he kinda bounced off the walls for a while and then enjoyed chewing on empty water bottles in between attempts to have sex with my leg.
I had local people making phone calls because the gas station down the street had a lost dog sign for a few weeks and I never read it. Of course the sign isnt there anymore and so far no one has turned up anything.
So I was gonna take him to a local no-kill shelter today, have him scanned for a chip andmaybe drop him off.
Well today it was storming like hell and lightning hit a tree maybe 100ft from my front porch, and the dog was kinda freaking out and being all skitsy. That's about the time my friend got here and when he came to the porch, the dog growled at him , barked really loud and then bit him in the leg.
Well when I called the shelter for directions, they wouldnt even see him because he had bitten someone. They told me I had to file a bite report and take him to animal control.
Animal control says they will keep him for 5 days and then kill him. Also they plan to cut his head off and test his brain for rabies because of him biting someone.
He's not aggressive, just maybe defensive of his new porch. He never gave me any problems picking him up and giving him a bath in cold water. I put him in my truck with no problems, the animal control people were treating him like he was some vampire, but I picked him up again to put him in their cage when they took him.
I dont have the means or the proper home for him, but I dont want him to be killed.
He has definitely been someone's pet so he's prolly had his shots. Looks to be 6-12months old. Could use some obedience training, but isnt a bad dog at all.
