I just picked this s14 today and theres a problem on the ignition.the last owner has a special way to start it up but I can't seem to get it.everytime he trys,it starts right away.can anyone tell me how to fix this problem.either change the whole ignition or what.any input will be apreciated.

try not turning the key all the way i have a similar problem just not sure yours is the same as mine...
the ignition starts the same.turn the key and starts right up,but you have to push the key up while turning it to get it started.fawking weird but it should be an easy fix or should I change it for another one or go to autozone to get a push start button.I'll go whatever I can get it started right now thats all I care.
probably a loose connection round back....if u can take off the switch and inspect it
