So i got a new set of tires front an back an all the wheels balanced an had a aligment done. Now when I get up to 55+ mph the steering wheel starts to shake pretty bad like the whole front of the passager side feels like its shakeing. I took the car back to Doral auto center were I got the tires for the car. They took it for a test drive noticed the the problem. Lifted the car an couldn't find anything wrong. Idk maybe they just being lazy but I need my car fixed I drive on the highway alot. Soo anyone got any ideas on what it can be ?
Thanks for looking :bigthumbu

Jack the car up and go through all the arms and steering stuff n make sure there all tight.

could be balljoint is bad lift the car up and move the wheel see if has play if not move to the next thing like arms then steering rack bushing as stated previously

sounds like there being lazy...
steering rack bushings
or a steelie is warped?
unless they were fine before...
new tires or used?

if it was it fine before?

something is off balance (weight fell off maybe, some tire jockeys suck ass)
tire is bad internally (from factory), called a "seperated" tire

either thing would throw it off balance and may or may not be on the front wheel, they need to check them all, but start on fronts - RE BALANCE. if the check and find one goofy, they should take OFF all the weights, not just stack more weights on.

or if they really suck, one or more lugs were not tightened in the correct fashion (criss cross) and the wheel is on slightly crooked... but you should feel that more than just 55.

was happening before not as bad it got worse over the last two weeks. the shop did re balance the front wheels. the only thing I haven't changed in the front is struts , ball joints an rack bushings

Try struts my uncle was having the same problem in his van .. I have two front off my car that I just swapped for coils

But before check ball joints . Lift car and shake tire see If it has play

it seems odd that something else would just "happen" to go bad at the same time.

it could be a rear wobbling that your feeling up front. or if it happens to be a seperated tire. it will come apart more as you drive.

Does it clear out if you go faster or does it get worse? Tension rods are sround that speed, as are rack bushings and ball joints.

if I speed up to like 85 it gets better but dosent go away an its only the passenger side front tire doing it.

yea well i would probably not go 85mph with a wheel shaking around.

put her up and check the suspension hookups for loose stuff. I've had shit get crazy loose on the race car during a single event before.

I watched the techs lift my car an look at the wheels they shook it an didn't find any play they said everything looked good. I guess I have to go some where else. To get it fixed.

the force of a 3000lb car runnin on the road and the tech guy "shaking" it are not equal. whatever the cause. it could be a loose bolt/nut that might only come loose when the supsension is compressed/car sitting on the ground. you need to just take a wrench/socket to all the stuff and check that its tight. You'll know if something is loose if you try to turn it with a wrench.

my wife was driving next to me the other day she can see the wheel moving a lot as I drive. I will updated over the weekend I'm look into the front suspision. I will be getting coilovers soon maybe I figure it out as I'm swap in them over.
