where can you get 2000 grit paper?

maybe at a automotive paint store like VIVA LIZ on 8st and 69 ave
coincidently this guy did what i was thinking about doing even with the paint scheme.. at least i dont have to photoshop it to see how it looks.... if i do go along with the idea imma use different head lights

hey buddy i blow by cops all the time no tickets since my car went flat black. then again my lights are black my rims are flat black. I had a cop ask me once if i run drugs lol. Mythbusters is bullshit they don't properly test every experiment that they do. they can't it would take too much time and money. Every car ive owned has been flat black at one point or another. I have never gotten a ticket in a flat black car.
You can get 2000 grit at advanced auto maybe pep boys. hell you can get it at wal-mart in the automotive section. The key is to make sure the car is clean, the paper is clean and you change the water alot. I use a bucket and soak the paper in there for about 10 minutes to soften it up before i wet sand. i also use sanding spunges to prevent break through in the paint.

i agree that mythbusters are wrong alot of the time, my question is does the paint prevent detection in the day/night or both?

Only at night during the day the can still get you becuase of your windows. Or you can do like a fiend of mine did and scuff your windows with 1500 grit sand paper. It takes alot of time but theres no glare. By the way this is on a ferrari 360. His car is actually painted with stealth paint too. He uses the car to make runs from miami to NYC.
see myth busters never tried it at night, thats why its a bullshit. besides they arnt scientist they are movie prop guys ( stage craft)

who cares its your car. i love my car my mom hates it. my car had a brandnew silver paint job on it when i bought it two days later it was satin black. lol she was so pissed. :bigthumbu although good luck trying to get a date in a satin black car lol. I have to borrow my brothers f150 for the first date then show her my supra lol

then add the clear to protect it! makes it more shiny than soft looking though

satin paint aint cheap cuz you have to use base a topcoat, then get clear and get the flat for the clear and blah blah its hella expensive.

i'm using satin black spray paint right now.
i'm not using clear or anything else. just satin black spray paint.
