i think you might because i have some black primer on some parts of my s13 like the hood and bumper and they get pretty hot during the day. and when i had my old volvo it had black primer on the roof and actually burned me

my cars flat black and it dosn't get that hot. I love it cus its hard to spot at night.

flat black is cool, but i think satin black is 100 times better, jsut as easy to paint, and looks baddass, flat black to me looks liek a primer, while satin black acctually looks like a paint job.

i actually was gonna do satin but they only had it in spray cans, but this flat black from rusto doent look to far off satin its right in between a primer black and a semigloss.

lol yeah..

i followed the rattle-can tutorial, and it suggests flat black.. i only had satin black in the garage, and i love it so far.

^well they do make a gloss paint with like a gloss reducer, so it makes it like a dul satin black, it looks baddass, i was going to paint my coupe with this but i decided not too, flat and satin blacks are a love it or hate it color, I wanted more of a color everybody can appretiate, so im going with 08 tundra timbaland green mica baddass dark green color, i wanted to paint the coupe pearl white but the pignsoe front looks gay in a light color.

my car is actually satin black. i did it with ACE satin paint. I did it with rattle cans and it came out good. i need to wet sand the cars still but im lazy. lol

thanks for the comments, the way i painted the bumper was that i bought a quart of rustoleum flat black oil based enamel, reduced it with mineral spirit, and i added some japan dryer so it dries fast. So far im very happy with the results. SAS, How many spray cans did it take to do your whole car, and how many coats did you put on it?

two coats i think seven cans. The ace cans are huge though. you can do one side of the car with one can. three cans for each coat then its just touch up of where you missed
