iv got a s14 and just wondering if you have to drop the tank to put a walbro 255 fuel pump in it ik theres a panel in the truck under the carpet can you swap it out there or do you have to drop the tank

my friend changed out my fuel pump for the walbro one, he just removed the cover over the fuel pump inside the trunk and changed it out there...it was a mission to do, he literally had his whole body in there.

yea, u just remove the cover, it really is a pain in the ass, do it when ur really low on gas(if u can wait) if not ull be arm deep in gas

see wtf man i googled it and i got some bullshit that told me nothing
but thanks
my car not running and i think it low on gas i hope
thanks guys

if you do have a ton of fuel in the tank , just get one of those hand pumps and pump that shit out ! You can get one at Autozone.

i dont think its that har to swap, but i guess ive done it a couple of times now,
once i had to change mine in front of sears, it took about 20 min

its super easy if you have low gas remember our gas tanks are plastic and if u have a full tank its a bitch trying to get the screw on ring cause the tank is slightly distorted not to mention the chemical burns on your arm lol also latex gloves wont survive.

but if u have low tank then its cake.
