A plea of no contest, while technically a form of a guilty plea, will allow you the opportunity to tell the judge your side of the story. Its not as bad as you think - they're very fair but IF you're lying, they can usually smell it. Have some statutes handy and understand the infraction you were written up for and, assuming you're telling the truth, the judge should have no problem dismissing your ticket.
