ok i jus bought my s13 a few weeks ago and i also learned how to drive stick with this car......now im noticing wen i ride (cruise) for a while my tranny starts to get hot......i was wonderin what cud be causing this?? or if it cud even be my noob stickshift skills
 
Sup bro. We met yesterday remember. As far as your question goes. It depends how hot your talking if its like sort of hot around(not scorching) the tranny tunnel and shifter then its not thart bad cause my car does it and so do a lot of other 240 owners. Its just a nad combo of hot ass miami and old car. If its scorching than it might something a little more serious. Change out the tranny fluid (might be low cause 240s are gay like that) that and welcome to the money consuming world of 240s
 
man i told you to change your tranny fluid already. but other than that it don't seem to serious
 
if its the tunnel that gets hot, the exhaust is there, my foot burns every time i drive so keep that in mind
 
If the car has no interior, the heat will come into the car from the lack of insulation that keeps the heat out. The transmission tunnel can get mildly warm from the heat from the transmission and the exhaust system. lf it is any hotter, then you should check your transmission out, it may be low on gear oil or something more technical. Or you may have an exhaust leak down there.
 
thanks for all the suggestions....no its not stripped....rytakahashi001 has driven my car b4 and he said its nothin out of the ordinary, but he didnt drive it a far distance.......i will change the tranny fluid and check for a exhaust leak.......i'll let u guys kno from there
 
do u have the shifter boot and stuff covering the tranny? cuz if u dont u'll feel it hott as hell... also ur converter is right under ur feet also.. so MiaS13 is right hot ass miami weather...
