Problems Drifting to the left.

get smaller wheels, get some fm901s and put them on steelies or something up front 205-50-15 i bet they will be better for your setup and run something with like 500 treadwear in the rear preferrably a 205 tire.. your car will love them with the welded diffz0rs

Track car has SE wheels so that is the size I will be running... it's the DD that takes the 215

I'm running -1 camber right now

i think its -.75 - -1 neg is stock factory with in spec. I was saying add an additional -1 on top of the factory adjustment w\e you have it at......... if you feel it need nessacary to run more camber (which you wont) then add .5 neg after that. these are just my suggestions. excessive like -3.5 camber defetes the purpose of having wide tires.

some good info in this jacked thread.

go faster people.

i got a idea to whats wrong............your sitting on the wrong side of the car. sisco, your not letting yourself drift, its all in your mind, your normally drift it when it was left hand drive. that and your car has no power........... :D .........finish your mr2, you should come watch danny drift sunday.

I dont have the slightest clue whats wrong....I used to be able to drift to the left really well, and had problems drifting to the right. Now I drift to the right fine....and have problems drifting to the left and it sucks because every "Good" corner that I know of is to the left.....and also the OSW drift events also.

BTW: its a 89 S13 Coupe.

can anyone help?
check your alignment, fact is that if your rear tires have negative toe they will tend ti grip too much. if you lowered the car without adjustable suspension components it is hard to get the correct aligment for drift. maybe one side is more negative than the other. if this is waths wrong with it then the tire choise will impact the ability to drift to one side.

in my early days of drifting I crashed my coupe sidewasy into a curb damaging the driver side rear end. I bent the subframe and had to replace the lower control arm, but after all was fixed the the car had rediculous negative toe that could only be fixed bu pulling the frame. it was hard to get a good angle when I drifted towards the left.
