pimp my ride shit

DISCLAIMER: I've been given permission/the blessing to post pictures of my car. However, I will not participate - and cease to participate - in any discussion relating to any television series good or bad - if you have comments about those, please just email me. If you want to tell me how bad/good/whatever me or my car looks right now, feel free, but please keep it on topic w/ the current car. I'm just asking this of you as a favor - keeps me out of any possible trouble - don't ask what kind of trouble could happen, I don't want to find out - thanks.

***HOPE THE PICTURES DON'T DISAPPOINT!***

Hey guys, I know a few of you been wondering what I've been up to... and in the end, not much - at least nothing you can see in the pictures visually...

Pictures are at the end of the thread if you don't feel like reading through my practical life story, haha.

I'm not sure where to start. So, I guess the beginning will do. This is my car, Silvia. Yea, she doesn't have any SR parts, but that's her name; learn to live with it. I received her back in 1999 as a graduation present from my grandparents. At the time, I knew nothing about cars nor did I care to "soup" it up.

I spent most of my part-time job pay in college just to keep her running. After getting tired of rip-off mechanics, I found Nicoclub. That's when things started slowly changing.

Starting around 2003-2004, I began doing minor modifications, which snowballed into what you see today. She's been through a lot of stages, one of which I'm sure a lot of you are familiar with. Since then, Silvia has evolved into what you see now. I have touched almost every bolt, body piece, etc. on my car. Almost all work, excluding a good part of the paint/bodywork and interior, was done by me with the guidance of one of my uncles and some friends.

I was very fortunate last year to get picked up for a sponsorship from Fusion Car Audio back in 2004 with the help of John Gonzalez, who also helped me get replacement audio components and lots of wiring.

I finally started doing engine work early in 2006. I was very fortunate to have met some really nice guys at FRSport.com, who helped me rebuild my top-end and did some major overhauling of the old KA24E to get it prepped for turbocharging, as well as helping me get parts whenever I'm in a jam.

I've devoted so much money and time into my little green drift machine, that it seemed I should use her for something more than a daily commute. My friends convinced me to pick up autocross, which I have been actively attending for the past 6 months. I've also dabbled with rallycross, and plan on building up the car for road racing by the end of the year.

We've been through a lot together, but unfortunately, some things must come to an end. And sadly, this is near the end of the road for Silvia. I am currently working on another 240 project, and I couldn't see a better way to share my work with the world one final time - well, as of this moment, I'm not too sure what I'm gonna do w/ both cars.

I've met some very awesome people throughout this enriching experience these past couple years. As cheesy as this sounds, I wouldn't have been able to acheive what I have today without Nicoclub. So in the most sincere, simplistic, and humble way possible, I'd like to say thank you. Thanks for everything.
