People copyright "sayings" all the time, they are called Slogans. It is call intellectual property as SAS said and if anybody works at a law firm, they would use these terms. ANYTHING on any form of tangible medium, shirt, paper, tape, video, napkin even is considered copyright.

Why do you think the writers went on stike? Because their work was displayed on the web and not just on TV. The web is another form of medium and they deserve to be compensated for that outlet.

Well it won't be possible to sue because, unless you are a registered company and trademarked those shirt designs, you can't do crap.
 
it's better to be registered to the us patent office, but you don't need to be to have it copyrighted.
 
I really don't think a law suit would stick in this case either but hey try and prove us all wrong. I think its gay what they're doing either way.
 
The fact of the matter is that they stole half of the shit they have and they suck for it. Anyone giving them an ounce of respect for that has a lack of respect for the hard working people in the scene who has obviously been here a lot longer. If they wanna make there own original designs, that's cool and it will be supported. But don't come around trying to steel, copy, imitate and expect to be welcomed with open arms.

so i was reading thru this post and it has started to really piss me off how immature you all are you spend all of you time bashing someone who you dont even know because he has a shirt with a saying that sounds like a myculture one i happen to know this kid really well and he had no intentions of stealing there slogan if he did he would have copied it ver batem even if he did unless myculture copywrited it. it wouldnt matter so why dont you all stop talking crap and start drifting this is forum about drifting and your not getting anybetter typing during every spare minute of your day

lol if you really think were picking on him because hes trying to start another drift clothing company your sadly mistaken. they put forth the effort and sacrificed alot to make they're designs what they are. and its kinda shitty that your friend would use the sayings and general designs and claim them as his own. i mean props to him for wanting to start his own company but seriously it would be 100000x better if he tried to be original. basically right now he's looking like the made in Taiwan copies.
