okay. i know alot of people hate me......i don't care. i don't go to events because of a few reasons. i didnt know about them. (only 1 has passed since i knew about them). ovals are gay as ****, i had a track to use allready with great people to spend my time with. thank you to the secret drift team. Kyle, Erick,Jorge,Dan, Rick,Robert,Vince, Ralph and Christie. you made my times at Florida sports park awesome.......i will make this kind of fun happen again, i am making better money then i was before so i can hopefully finally start to motivate myself. I LOVE STREET DRIFTING. why is there always comments about promoting drifting and promoting sfldrifters.....seriously its not a club that needs bodies to fill it and buy drinks. its a hobby and sport with no place to practice it like we do for other hobbies. do i care if i get banned from this forum hell no. i am working on finding a gymkanna lot and a new forum for "drifters" im not about all this forum moderator politics b.s. oh thats right the sercret drift team had that forum. i am proud of what i started it really showed who i should trust and who i should seek for helping out. the more you promote this site the more police will find it and you horrible street drifters by the way. so go ahead hate me, flame me, ban me..and when i have another track to have events again, legal or not. don't come. then stop by my site and see videos and pics of all the fun you are missing.

bannnned...... +1 i agree with half of that stuff but you can't change mother nature so oh well but still really is no reason to make a thread about it cuz its just going to get deleted anyway lol just now everyone is going to come in here and cry wah show and prove blah blah blah blah blah etc. etc.

this site was founded by street drifters for drifters (and back then the only drifting that was going on was street drifting and ddays at ocala) then came along Hialeah speedway and ppl started to sway off from street drifting because there were local events every so often and people didnt want to **** their cars and etc. so they could to it. but since hialeah died, street drifting is just gonna keep growing in sfl because of the lack of tracks and events... yea wow there is OSW and Charlotte now, but thats still nothing really exciting, sure its legal seat time, but what are you suppose to do until then? and if you cant get off work that day or have no money that week to go all the **** way over there. street drifting is going to be here forever, its how it started.. there is no other way around it. its not that ppl are whining about it from the staff, its just that if someone were to go try to talk to some big corporate guru about renting a track, and said yea, we are here on behalf of sfldrifters.com and they come on the forum and see a bunch of videos of punk kids sliding in the streets disregarding all traffic laws, chances are they are going to say hell no and never talk to us again. but blah i dont care im not typing anymore because this thread is probably just gonna get deleted and ima have typed all that for nothing

okay i agree with that but is that whats really happening...

I agree with Dan and the street drifting issue. South Florida is a horrible spot because we can only drive up for events. Without any local events, I do agree that street drifting will increase. However, I also dont think there has been much done from the community to address this issue.

A lot of members just post here to mess around. When it comes down to organizing themselves as a community to help start something, few stand up to the challenge. Everyone else just says street drifting is easier. That doesnt help the community. You want to say you promote the community and mean it? Then start by thinking you actually want to help it instead of just making fun of it. Street drifting will always be around and always be an option, just make sure you dont use it as a reason to NOT find ways to legally drift locally.

i just won't post anymore if it makes everybody sleep better at night.

ps. when i used the word noob on this site i am being sarcastic. i hate that word and would never use it seriously....now go back and read all my post....who knows you might look at me the way people who know me do. ****ing NOOB.

Don't any get angry or say anything bad this is just my two cents. Street drifting is the same as street racing in the sence that going some where is too expensive so lets street (insert title here). You need to accept the fact that you need somewhere to do this kind of stuff. Going along with what Alchmist XL said you need to be legit when wanting to go somewhere. If you want drifting to evolove in south florida you need to make positive relationships with people in high places. rwdrift is right also there will be some people who might be willing to help but denying that street drifting is a problem is just silly.

I'm not denying that street drifting exists though. The problem is that many people who street drift say they want to promote the drifting community but all they can do is flame forum who tries to organize the community in order to bring more drifting support locally.

Those are the people who should make up their mind and start supporting. That's why the forum takes a stance against street drifting talk. Videos of street sliding are deleted in 48 hours because we want you to share with others your stuff, but we cannot allow the forum to be spammed with street sliding.

okay so i need to repost to ls_man in a positive way........here goes

dear ls_man
thanks for your 2 cents that is why i posted in the first place. i respect what you are saying but i feel you are incorrect. street racing has an easy way out. most areas in the united states of america contain multiple drag racing tracks that are availible on every friday night of the year(tracks may vary). these tracks usually only charge a very small amout to participate as a driver. drifting is a totally different thing. it is not something you can practice once a month. as a reference imagine playing a video game in an arcade once a month. you most likely never be as skilled as the kid who is there 5 days a week. you have a ps2 at home but it is frowned upon by the police. do you play it.

I understand why people street drift and at times I would probably do it myself except I have really expensive tires on my car and it's to much hasle to change them just to get a few minutes of street drifting in.. I find it much more worthwhile to go to a place like OSW and get in all the drifting my car can handle.. without risks of tickets/higher insurance or god forbid.. a crash involving another car... I really don't care if people street drift except I have a feeling at some point it's going to start reflecting badly on all of us if the headline on WSVN is "child killed in drifting crash, This new underground sport of drifting ended a life today" Blah.. that would be bad..

+What is drifting going to evolve into except something gayer? Face it. There will never be something like morroso for drifting in sfl. I think 90-100 bucks is not a bad price for drifting on a closed track all day. However, how good will u get practicing once a month? and even if it is open every weekend it will be too expensive.

+Street racing is extremely dangerous especially a heads up race on a public street with traffic. Drifting is usually a lot slower than drag racing (duh, unless u go D1 speeds in an altezza in the rain) and done where nobody is. Also, most of the time it's 1 car at a time except for the +9 level 2 drift knight who do the super jdm tyte tandem.

I have to agree with erick that little is being done by the actual community to organize events. I mean the only people I have seen stepping up is tj and zach and the guys that actually drift and dont mind driving countless miles to go to events. The way I see it someone in south fl. should start an organization, get some insurance and start contacting tracks. You will be suprised how many tracks wish to start something but then you will never know until you try.

actually with that said bladder, erick or ralph contact me asap.
