bro you would be SHOCKED what other media shows that we never see here

So college grads are "Idiot" Liberals? Opposed to the "Genius" GED diploma holding Burger flipers? Or high school grad "Savant" mechanics?...Facts are facts the IQ of a college grad is 25-35% higher than without college..needless to say for literacy rates...

and to get things straight i didn't specifically mean you with the Media comment....just every1..

So i Lied im coming back in the thread....maybe i should be a politician...LOL

Just to agree with Gsracer...MEDIA is scum they will tell you what they want to tell you and leave out what they believe is irrelevant..mostly governed by special interests groups or those in charge of the public media outlet.

For those who believe CNN, CNBC, FOX news, MSNBC are agendaless outlets are gravely mistaken...and dont even get me started on local media esp. Univision, Telemundo and other spanish news ( coming from a latino; i pity whoever watched that atrocity of news reporting and would cringe when seeing family members watch-completely biased)

Anyone ever see a report from Iraq from a Muslim nation? For some reason here they dont show you the dead and wounded innocent Iraqis dying over there( at times women and children) but there they do... Why do you think that is?

I pray for ALL the lives lost in this war but unlike US media i know there is suffering on both sides of the line....

and who are we to thank for that? Bush completely wrecked shit. Most of the choices are a response to the current situation to try and get us out of the mess left for the next president.

both parties had fucked views and good views. McCains speech was incredible, yet he still had HIS SUPPORTERS booing him at the very mention of Obamas name.......

Bush didnt completely wreck shit, it's always odd how people forget that this country is run by many people working together, it's called an administration, and congress.

I personally think Bush made many mistakes, and to be honest he wasnt qualified for the the presidency in the first place.

Bush himself didnt wreck everything, even though he's an idiot and a piece of garbage.

Obama isn't likely to fix anything though either.

well now that he won the patriotic thing to do is support him while he gives his Emmy award speech lol..... seriusly lets support him he is not a dictator in 4 years if he didnt do it right just pick another one :D

Why do so many Americans think it is unpatriotic if you dont support the president??!?!?!

Wanting the best for my country is more patriotic than anything.

I was leaning Obama but then decided not to vote because I dont care for McCains conservative social views, nor do I want his barbie-doll VP becoming president when he kicks the bucket. If I had a time machine I would go back to 2000 and vote McCain in the primary when I was a registered republican.

But then again this bi-partisan primary non-sense is complete bullshit. There should be an open primary and anyone who gets 10% of the popular vote in the primary gets to run for prez, and is allotted a set budget, which is monitored by an independent oversight group. Each candidate also would get a fixed equal number of prime time TV ad slots.

I didnt vote Obama because as much as I like his social promises, I think his economic policies will only worsen our current dilemma, and fear that he may be hiding a lot of his real agenda.

Turns out more than enough people voted Obama just because he is black, so he didn't need my vote anyway

then you didnt do shit to help your country, which makes you even more of a fuckup

That's a pretty dumbass thing to say.

I wanted Ron Paul. I was leaning Obama, but decided that neither candidate was really what the country needed.

The worst case scenarios of both administrations are pretty damn bad.

bro no bullshit but if I made 80k and you made 27k to support your family id be more than happy to help you out. Its the fucks that are gonna milk and abuse this that make it so wrong.

I call bullshit. I certainly wouldn't without a good reason, especially because the way the tax system works, the higher income people already contribute more to the system that provides to the poor anyway.

If my neighbor was a teacher, and a good teacher, and needed help though, I would try to help because education is the single most important thing in the world, and teachers arent paid nearly enough.

Well he wasnt gonna put super libs in the courts, people who judge with empathy instead of the law, um he wasnt gonna try and pull us out of iraq in failure, he wasnt gonna negotiate with unfriendly regimes with no preconditions, he wasnt gonna bend at the wills of the unions (which im a part of btw ), he wasnt gonna redistribute peoples hard earned money, um thats all i can think of tj its late lol

Presidents don't have the power to just changed the justices of the SC. But G W Bush got the opportunity to pick justices more than any other president in history, and seriously tried to sway the court conservatively. Luckily he mis-judged one of his choices and we still have a fairly balanced SupremeCourt.

I think Iraq is a failure already, whether we leave now or in 3 years, it's a failure. But I do think that if we can actually help the country stabilize and train their police and military to control the country, then it is worth staying to avoid having a future problem to deal with. Fact is, most Iraqi's resent the very presence of a foriegn military in ther country. Just as we would most likely resent the EU liberating the USA from a tyrannical leader by bombing us to hell, killing millions of our citizens and then occupying our country to retrain our police to control us 'properly'. Think about it.

And whats wrong with meeting with leaders of other countries to discuss real concerns????? NOTHING. If nothing gets accomplished, then nothing has changed except that at least a little bit of diplomacy was executed and maybe some credibility given to the American view.

im just gonna copy and paste from another forum i posted this on

Its a sad day in america, obama won.

I have the feeling that in about one years time people will be suffering from voters remorse. I believe that obama is gonna take this country down a path not seen before in most of the liftimes of people in our age group save those of you who lived thru jimmy carter. Taxes will be going up, medicine will be socialized, unemployment will probably go up, i mean the list goes on and on. This man has no experience at all, every one he was associated with was either a radical liberal or a racist. He was into black liberation theology, hes got markist tendancies, frankly im appalled, this man has waged a campagin of class warfare not seen ever in this country. But i guess theres that many uneducated, lazy, ill-informed americans out there that want a free hand out instead of having to work for anything. I mean people think obama is gonna fill up the tanks and pay they're mortgage for crying out loud. What ever happened to hard work, and having some sort of moral fiber. Im sure this thread will get interesting so ill leave the rest of my thoughts for later.

However Ill give my top reasons for why people voted obama, they wont be politicly correct fyi.

1. They hate bush
2. They want to take other peoples hard earned money and not do anything ( spread the wealth)
3. Because they thing the government is gonna give free hand outs
4. because hes black

Hopefully we wont turn into a full socialist republic and can still vote him out in 4 years.

In the mean time ill be practicing my socialist talk. ey commarade...

x2.3

At least I'm not the only one that sees a Carter pt 2 in the works here. All his policies sound like a big step backwards.

Lol @ all of this!!!!

Here just an idea.
If obama won because he's black. Then next time the republican party should have an even blacker person as there canadiate. Maybe Wesley Snipes!!! Then they might stand a chance. But until then obama won!

I'm not arguing that uneducated voters made stupid decisions.

But, a formal education does not inform one of the issues plaguing the country. You'd have to seek out that knowledge on your own. Unfortunately the majority of people in this country rely on the news as their primary source of information while basing their voting decisions on personality. I would feel comfortable saying that based on my experiences, many voters had no real idea why they voted for Obama.

My opinion?

People are desperate and scared. Obama ran a clever campaign labeling McNasty as Bush while blaming Bush for this country's economic woes. He played on people's emotions by offering "change they need." He gave people a sense of security and won the election, by a landslide.

I have said it before - Obama's economic position sounds very much like Carter's. With an uber strong Democratic Congress and some far right justices, major changes CAN be made. I just fear the direction we're going. At this point, only time will tell. I would rather see a Reaganistic policy unfold but the reality is that couldn't happen anyway with Congress the way it is. They've been the cancer on this country and this economy for a while now. Anyone blaming Bush needs to dig deeper.

Presidents don't have the power to just changed the justices of the SC.

Yes they do. Presidents nominate the Associate Justices and the Chief Justice of the supreme court.

The senate only confirms the justices, giving them the ability to serve.

The confirmation process is a game. A political game of course. Just look up what they've done to block choices Bush has made. And I really don't think the hard right senate will have a problem approving Obama's choices. Lets see...

Couldnt agree with you more, you can attribute the decline in housing and the foreclosures to the subprime mortgages that came around under carters community reinvestment act. Giving people loans that couldnt afford them, oh yea its all the greedy corporations and bush's fault people got loans the couldnt pay back lol.

I have to say Im a pretty conservative guy, socialy and fiscally. At least one thing we can take away from this in florida ammendment 2 passed and gays still cant get married. I guess all is not lost, some people still have morals.

Before you call me a gay basher, people have a right to do whatever they want in theyre own homes, if you take it in the ass thats your buisness, it doesnt make it right.

My uncle, aunt , brother in law are all gay and great people whom i hang out with all the time.

LOL eat that one ha ha ha ha ...

dat nog gonna turn air force one into a donk and bump rick ross, "we in the white house" gyeeaahhhhhh

Lmao!!! Think about all the black people in jail that are gonna write obama askn him to "hook a brother up" and get them a pardon!!!! Its gonna be crazy!!!!

warning: opinion.

dem congress, dem president, and majority dem house of reps.

yeah. im pretty scared.

we already have a shortage of doctors and nurses in the US, so if a medical student spends 10 plus years to be a doctor and leaves school with 150k in debt and luckily lands a job at 150k, goodbye 150k, hello reality. maybe? 85k after taxes? wow. a financial analyst can make almost that much in a few years after college and either with an MBA or a CFA and CFP, and still not get taxed as badly as a doctor.

obama is like robin hood. steal from the rich and give to the poor. Im all for helping out poor people, but i want to do it on my own, i dont want the government to come in and take my monies to support some issues i dont believe in.

oh, hello capital gains tax, thanks obama, for fucking up my retirement and for dampering any chance for me to even grow my wealth and assets, for four years i wont be able to receive as much as i can if you just left the market alone. I'll be making an appointment with my advisor sometime this week

oh and i make probably 12k a year. i pay about 2300 in taxes a year, yeah it gets taken out of my paycheck, and no i dont get any money back from the government and no im not rich and no my parents arent either. i think its time i start learning how to funnel my monies out of the country. thats what the rich people do when taxes get raised.

gsracer: you said that you dont support ammendment 2, yet three family members including an in law are gay. so you think that they dont deserve the benefits or pensions that their life long partner is leaving for them? you dont think they deserve to be happy in a martial relationship? what right do you have to be able to marry and they cannot?

just asking. id like to hear you opinion. honestly i think the policies and ammendments will be talked about for a while and people are gonna be pissed off and try to do some crazy thing.

I think a lot of you are over reacting. This is what the USA wanted? Then we'll see how smart we are. Obama might do all the right things, he might not. We don't know yet. There were a lot of things he said he'll do, so let's see if he keeps his promise. If you were going for McCain, stop crying that you lost. It's only the beginning.

 funny this thread is gonna be bump for months lol ... next and Hispanic president !! lol
