Nopi St. Louis Trip (Updates Of Event)

oh man... where do I start.
I been hearing some nasty storys from friends bout this crew.
first of a "PRO" car should always have all the proper body parts in place and that too bright for peoples eyes sil80 look like a train wreck from the front angle, then the ricer red silvia with a MOLDED aero... keep it in hot import rice shows. and the BMW with more wood than metal in the drive train with multiple color parts? Hialeah drift... WTF!!!
you guys made it to top 16 cause the judges felt sorry for you. I would of taken my S14 and not only schooled you guys an a hella nice drift car but on how to get 1st place.
how the fuck u hear ur motor bout to blow and continue... and then set your shit car on fire, great job dumbass!!!... you deserv it, I guess that make you cool.
whats up with that looser crackerass white boy that was ur pit crew... or pit guy, his fix to everything was brake cleaner and a hamer I think his name was Bob Nash or something. u got this guy from wood shop class back in school.
I've seen better pics from a fisher price camera or disposals.
I would love to go on but I have a important meeting to atend, next time send the proper people to rep your South FLA drift.

...last hope was Sean "Negrada" Love he went up against Matt Waldin and had his best runs of the week, advancing him to top 8 where he got eliminated by Jason Batey because of a driver error even thou he had the advantage.:ugh:

Gotta let everyone know that Matt Waldin took a 7-3 advantage on me when he led. Then I led and I laid down a mega solid run, prolly my fastest pass of the day, flying through the course, tagging all the curbs, but Matt's tranny blew 3rd gear as he passed the judges stand. I rolled back to the pits and was told I took it. I knew I had a gangster run, but it really came down to Matts tranny breaking that put me in the top8.

Against Jason Beatty I laid a really nice run when I led, but then I followed and I missed a gear on the entry, thought it was fuel starvation, and let off the run.

Gave up $500 but oh well, I'm really happy with the result considering I had a TON of problems throughout the weekend.

Saturday was a joke, I started on the worst tires I have ever driven. Clutch kick with weight transfer and the car didnt even turn, just went straight off the track, and I crossed the infield at like 70mph, hit a hill, flew through the air for like 20ft. I came back to the pits and they were callin me Luke Duke.... :)

Got some nice tires all the way round, and laid a decent run then next run the car starts overboosting like hell. No boost gauge so I have no idea. I get a gauge, make a test pull, I saw 18psi and climbing when I let off. Wastegate has 11 psi spring... WTF Oh and also in the same pull, the main differential bolt goes BOOM!

The 2 seconds of 450hp feels great but if I keep running I am going to blow the motor and now I need to find a way to fix my differential

Pull it on the trailer and the day is over, qualifying is in the morning (lucky it got delayed from saturday). I'm in a terrible mood, but the guys talked me into not giving up. Balled it over to home depot, got some stuff to make a hardline to the wastegate and fix diff.

Wastegate works now, diff is more rigged than a spanish gallion and I go into qualifying...

The rest you already know

well if juan wanted or didnt want more press... he got it in spades... Great driving... all out FTW!!!!!

S-T.... ON threeeeeeeeeeees son LOL, thats gangsta

LUKE DUKE... the force is with you!!!

hey(newb speakin here)... isnt d1 driver that kid that when missing and his mother came on with his screen name looking for him?

sean get a real phoe and call me. miss shitting sounds like something hanu would. jk oh ps my tranny is ready to go in I would have put in sat but u have the key.

sweet man thanks. What happened with blake and bill?

Blake, broke a drive shaft first, so we took the drive shaft off of Bills car, then the powersteering/supercharger belt broke. So his qualifying runs were with no power steering, and no power period. He was killing it all weekend before that. Quick steer is not easy to turn with no power steering. Bill vs Forrest was cool to watch, Forrest was just nasty.

And it was awesome to watch more FL drivers out there. Jeremy broke his transmission saturday night, tuning his car on the street. Found one via craigslist and spent all night changing it, didnt finish till 7:30am sunday morning. Dedication. He drove his ass off, if it wasnt for that one straighten up going into the last turn on his leading run, he may have advanced. ST, Juan, and the rest of you guys, awesome driving this weekend, good to see you guys going against people like Kenji and Nate, they're straight nasty, and ya'll gave them a run.

Maybe one of these Nopi events I'll actually get to sleep the night before top 16 eliminations!

Saturday night I had the great idea to go and do some street tuning. Then in the top of a 3rd gear pull, I hit some bumps in the road and my transmission completely destroyed itself  So we loaded everything up and went back to the hotel and I started searching craigslist. No transmissions. So I started calling anyone selling any turbo FC parts, and some guy was willing to sell me the trans out of his car! (it was wrecked, but still...) So Dan and I drove to his house, pulled his trans out of his car in his driveway, and came back to the hotel. We pulled my trans out in the middle of the street in downtown STL in front of the Hilton, and put the good one in. We finished at around 7:15am and had time to shower up, and haul ass to the driver's meeting. Awesome.

Then I repeatedly fell asleep in staging before my runs. I had to play with the walkie-talkie and bullshit with people to stay awake, and one time I woke up to the sound of the walkie-talkie hitting the floorboard of my car  It pretty much sucked and I definitely wasn't on top of my game, but I did my best. John Wagner did awesome and defeated me in top 16 :( Oh well.

The thing that really pisses me off is the fact that I have a spare transmission, but I'd been soo busy and tired from work and working on my car the past week and a half that it never got loaded. (I had engine troubles at Desoto and my engine didn't start going in the car until 4pm on Thursday, and we left Thurs night).

Congrats to Sean for making top 8, and Juan and Estie for making top 16 with me! 6 dudes from FL in the top 16!
