well my car wouldn't start after 2 runs at the last osw.
well it has spark, and the fuel was their. Waited awhile
and it started up. Just changed the plugs, the wires,
and air cleaner. We changed the fuel filter and it starts
up. Now on cold starts, it revs up to 15 hundred than
cuts off if I don't give it gas. The car has 183k miles,
yeah its old, but I just need to know what could be
the problem. Fuel Injectors maybe? Anyone with
any tips or advice is grately appreciated.

Unless you car is cutting out at high revs it might not be the pump, or it could be the start of it going bad...but mine never did that before it went so idk...to me it sounds like the spark like the dist cap or coil, some gay **** like that or even dirty injectors...get some injector cleaner and see what happens, g'luck chris let us know what happens..if u need anything just ask im there

if u have to rev it to keep it alive, its obviously not your injectors or fuel pump or else it would **** up when you rev and turn off. it's most likely a vacuum leak, check your intake hoses and your brake booster hose. also is your alternator working properly?

Yes I have to rev it to keep it running at the light. I'm going to change the fuel pump and go from there. Thanks so much for the posts guys.

i had the same problem ask dan lmao he saw me at the gas station, i was having the same problems and still do every once in a while check all the vacum lines and double check the brake booster hose cause mine was loose and that was what it was doing lol

Hey Man i had the same problem. I had Vacum Leak up the ***, once i fix it, the problem went away, i also replaced fuel pump but i think the vacum was the issue.

Which hoses should I mainly check?
I looked at pretty much everything I can't put my finger on any leak.
Could it also be the O2 sensor on the headers?
My friend also suggested getting a fuel system clean job done.
?

Dont change the fuel pump, how do you know its bad.?

do your lights dim pretty bad while your rpms drop under 1k?

are your plugs new?

vaccum leak.

dose the brake pedal feel good as usual ?

the lights on the gauge dim a bit when they rev low.

New plugs, new wires, new fuel filger.

thank you in advance man.

I'm going to check all the intake hoses more in depth.

btw what are all those thin hoses under the intake pipe?

Get a vacum leak tester (or go make one). Or next time you are in orlando you can come by and use mine.
