According to TMZ Nick Hogan was released from jail after midnight today. It will be interesting to see if he comes back and joins the Drifting community. He could made it to the Pro Am right around the corner in November? This should be interesting to see, we wish him well in whatever endeavors he decides to accomplish now that he is free. For those of you not aware, Nick Hogan was driving in a Dodge Viper and then Nissan 350z in the now defunct NOPI Drift series before his accident that took place in Tampa, Florida. He also had attended a Formula D Pro Am event in Laughlin, Nevada.

Well, I say he deserves to be in prison a lot longer, or even life, but I still hope he learned his lesson. If he does go back to drifting, good luck, he's gonna need it.

I was just about to make this thread, I saw it on the news. They show him all laughing and shit walking out of jail. Kids a POS.
 
He called me last night, asking me if i wanted to go get some beers with him and some of his homies, i was like Nick if i go, i will be doing all the driving meng. We all know you is wreckless dog...
 
How come they didn't show when he was begging and crying when he was going in?

I guess he made peace with the butt sex and just enjoyed it.

I really dont think that formula D will let him drive in the series after that shit cause its bad publicity for them. Plus im pretty sure hes not gonna have a drivers lisance for a long ass time. Either way hes a stupid fuck:bigthumbu
 
FD will let him drive trust me on that one... they want the money and the publicity.. just like the NFL is allowing Michael Vicks to play again... is all about money man...
 
are you guys serious? so anyone that has ever street drifted, or raced, or sped more than 10 over the limit is a fucking hypocrit. The dude did the same thing I have done a whole shit load back when I was 17. Only difference is he crashed and his passenger is severly injured. I'm not making light of Johns injury at all, sucks and I wouldn't want to be in anyones position on either side of this accident. Buts Its not like nick went on a rampage with intent. Man fucked up, could have easily been me or anyone else. Ive hit shit when street drifting, just not that fast. Maybe everyone can stop jumping on the bandwagon of just because its nick, he deserves "x"....

I hope to god if i was "trying to showoff" in my car and had the misfortune of crashing and hurting a friend I hope you all wouldnt say i deserve life in prison. The kid (John) knew what was going on, he was prolly all smiling and having a blast till the crash.

and if I were in jail for even a DAY, you know id be smiling to be out.

its whatever. shit was terrible no doubt and it was a dumb move (hindsight), but get over yourselves.

i have nothing against Nick, i have talked to him many times and the guys is very nice. I think people dislike him not because of the accident, but because they think he cant drive and he's gotten to where he is at because of his DAD and money. In reality the Kid can drive, maybe better than most of the people on this site. we all make mistakes and he made one. simple as that... now lets throw stones to the neighbors yard......
 
Look at his driving record. The kid's a toolbag and got away with too much. Probably only b/c of his name too. He deserved this punishment and more b/c it never once looked like he learned his lesson. Bitching about being lonely in prison - give me a break. Any of us would have been in the "rape my virgin asshole" section of the state penitentiary. That's assuming we didn't learn our lesson from the expensive ass tickets any of us would have gotten prior to this. There is no comparing us to him. He is part of an elitist class that most of us will never see. And his parents are just as big of tools for enabling this kid too. I don't think they should get off unscathed. And the fact that this family continues too seek out new ways to capitalize on their "interesting" lives makes me sick...but mostly b/c i know people will watch so these toolbags will remain ignorant and wealthy for years.
