New Sponsor + TV show

Ya Jason your right i real y didint think that through all the way but in my thought of 6 tires per event i normally dont go through more than 2 new sets of tires per event and i was thinking of those additionall tires being used towards practice but my calculations are stil way off on the amount of tires i will need per year. And your also right about driving on diff brands, tread, used, new it does change your limits and speed greatly.

Right now i dont feel confident enough to go throw a real pitch out there and possibly (most likely) not even qualify to the main event (embarassing). So i havent put together a formal proposal yet (also my car still looks like shit and have no cage or fire suit, harnesses, or real seats). so i was just curious i didnt look at the large picture of 50-90 tires per year x 10-100 sponsored drivers = high costs. So right now im working on getting the car painted cage installed and also working on a major local tire company for some sponsorship help. So as of right now im wishing and hoping everything will fall into place and i can compete this year. I dont expect to win at all but it would be fun just to compete with all the much more expierienced drivers and just try to qualify and maybe place occasionally.

Get a proposal together anyway and make it as good looking as you can, send it out now, they will probably say "No" but when you contact them again in 6months or a year maybe, they will then be like, "oh yea, I remember this name, he is still around? Maybe he has some dedication, lets see what he wants..."

Don't rush it, but get your name in front of as many people as possible. I have a few people I have NEVER worked with that know me on sight just from talking to them once a YEAR previous. Make good impressions.

Shit I need to get paid/charge for this advice.... hahah. Took my 3 years+ to figure some of this stuff out and you learned it in the last 2 days.

I got a local used tire store to agree to sponsoring me. I haven't written up a formal proposal but I was thinking something like I could hand pick the used tires for practice and have then get me new sets for each competition or demo I do. They just want to see a nice car first and I told them at the time I was building a ls1 car, but hopefully they will be happy enough with a built KA-T.

and AWESOME on that Bayly, hope they stay true to it ^^
