Neo for Z32 on sr20det settings?

I just installed the SAFC neo and drove around for a day with the SOHC maf i'm using on my sr20det. Today i wired int he Z32 maf it's a stock blacktop sr20det. usual bolt ons. I was having a hesitation problem prior to this which sparked this idea.

i changed the spark plugs rite after work, it's been about 4 months or so on bkr7e's i know i should change them earlier being copper they foul quicker. But that brought back some pep, but still hesitated.

so now everythings installed and running. I have the Hotwire setting 2 IN 6 OUT as i've read on another place. I just found another thread on here saying recommended 2 IN 5 OUT but that 2 IN 6 OUT ran better.

car doesn't seem to hesitate anymore, runs good till about 5-5.5krpm. Feels like it gets spark cut, or missfire, motor is still reving, but power is not the same, seems to drop off.

Now do i need to change any OTHER settings on the NEO? can i just use it to convert the MAF voltage and thats all without changing any of the air/fuel settings? thanks for any help/input

well i've been driving my car with the SR for 3-4yrs now, and it's NEVER fealt like this, i'm not even talking about just dying off, it's like a FLAT spot in the power, my car used to pull all the way to 7krpm where i shift. The t25 is a mid range around town turbo, but something is not right as it is now.

My question, is if anyone with an SR and an SAFC who put a Z32 MAF in, did they just change the hot-wire settings to use it as an air-flow converter? or was there tunning/extra settings to be done. The ONLY thing i've touched on it is the Hotwire In/OUT to convert the MAF to read properly. So is that all? should the car still run the same with those settings and the stock ECU maps? Or is additional settings needed to get the car to run normal?

thats what i have 2in 6out. car runs/drives/idles but it's not my baby as i normally know it. I'm going to do some other tests. i have my MBC for 10-11psi and today it was spiking to about 14 not normal. thanks for the input.

so to make my car run NORMAL as if using the stock maf, i just use 2in 6out for the Z32 and it should run as the factory ecu intended if i understand correctly?

i tried 2in 5out on my lunch break and nada, car hesitated wouldn't rev and died. :ugh:

2 in 6 out make sure u have it set to hot wire and with the arrow pointing up in an angle. make sure its set to 4cylinder. and all the percents set to 0% all the way across the map. then it will run like stock

yeah thanks, thats pretty much the settings i have. i'll double check. the car definately runs better with the Z32 MAf as in no more hesitation that i was having with the Sohc maf, but now i lost power for smootheness. I need my baby back running good. would like to make the next countyline event. :bigthumbu
