after hitting a bump hard the other day, i noticed my camber was lookin a little too negative on my left front. i also smelt burning rubber all the way home. looked at my tire, and it wasnt flat, and there was no apparent damage. so i figured something proably just got stuck to it or something. i took the wheel of at work, and saw ...THIS!!

the entire tire had a ring around it of worn rubber down to the threading of the tire. it was hitting the side of my coilover, and the coil itself had rubber dust collected on it.

The coilover strut cambers with the wheel. So that's not camber issue... that's something mechanically fucked up and a bad offset.

well i also have a camber kit giving me 2 degrees negative right off the bat. that causes the wheel to lean into the coilover, and then the rest of that negative was the entire strut/coilover assembly like you said. so with that camber bolt straightened up that should take care of a big part of the problem. i checked after alignment and with the new tires on there, and there was clearence between the coil and tire. little clearence..but it was tehre. no rubbing.

yeah that happened to me on my first setup. my cucso's have already slotted holes were they bolt to the knuckle, me and a friend put them on. my side was installed super tight but his side were only snug. everytime i made a tight left turn or hit a bump with my left tire, i would hear somekind or grinding and smell burning rubber. i though it was my fender rubbing on the tire. i was wrong. i took the wheel off and found out about the loose bolts. the rim and tire were grinding and rubbing on the coilover. my tires looked worse then yours and im stilling using them on my car. drive onem till they blow!!!
