Hey did you get a guaranteed job or are you going in as an open? If you want to go to yokota or really any awesome base and have a low deployment rate go for a job that involves heavy lift aircraft. C-130's, C-17's, or C-5's. Air lift bases are the shit and I cant go to most of them because most of them do not have bomb dumps or they only have like 4 ammo troops working there. I got lucky with my next assignment is an airlift base but its also a Ammo Depot. Hell if you do that you might end up at ramstein with me that would be awesometown.

Negative, Im going Aug 31st under a G58 and Ill just pick from a list of jobs available when I get there. I am hoping they will have something involving there aerospace mechanics positions available but whatever, its all just hopes. Maybe Ill get lucky.

nice

Honestly Jobs like services or finance are the jobs to get, because you are not limited on bases at all and they are cake, you work like 8 to 3 everyday and you almost never work weekends. They don't participate in gay ass exercises either. If you get anything involving maintenance expect 10 hour days minimum as the norm and working weekends for no reason. And do not put down "Munitions systems" as a choice, thats my career field. I would not recommend it at all.

Where are you trying to go?
