NA SR20de engine swap

I'm looking into getting an s13 and depending on my budget I might do a engine swap for a NA sr20de.

If anybody knows any good info on where to buy the engine, where to get the swap done and any extra shit that I would have to do would be very helpful.

yea its pretty useless lololol unless u stroke the bitch, he'll wise up like every1 does,

budget being the key word,,,,,, ,,, save ur selff, just go turbo, call it a day
 
well if you just want something thats more powerful but not as powerful as a turbo go for it!
but i personally would just save up for an sr20det

yeah like 10hp max? you can get that with and exhaust/header/intake on a KA and have way more torque, I mean unless you got it out of an autech car its a waste of time

total waste of time unless its a SR20VE then that would be cool but still way to much work for 200hp

yeah its true KAs are more torquey but! its still more powerful even if it is only like 10hp! plus you could use that same money on the ka headers to improve yer turbo car and raise its hp up 10 as well! XD

huh?? that doesnt make sense a SR20DE would be a motorswap.... a motorswap for a N/A engine, a motorswap for 10hp????? I can see a swap for 50hp and/or the ability to make alot more power down the road but a NA/SR I dont see that really since turboing one is kinda like turboing a KA the bottom end isnt really up to snuff to handle much boost.

Plus you'll have to go out and locate all the parts to turbo the car sure it may only be a couple hundred bucks but you all ready spent 600-1000 dollars for the engine plus swap parts then go turbo it to have a lower power threshold before it explodes

just get a damn SR20DET and do it the right way the first time around (BTW this does not mean that I started likeing SR's or anything I still think they suck)
 
Just buy an rb20det. Everyone hates on them but I love mine...I hate the stock powerband on the sr. Rb has steady power the whole way through.
 
I Did the ka turbo thing. Just make sure you buy a good turbo setup and get a good tune...In the end it will cost the same as an rb swap...
I paid 1600 for my setup and tuning and shit...I sold it and started my rb swap...If you decide to go ka just swap pistons on the shit and turbo it...You detonate with stock pistons and you blow your ring lands...Just search...Go ka-t, Build it.
