My hood release is gay

Yup, I try to push the hood down so that it completely locks but it doesn't. The release handle is broken I guess. Any way I can make it close completely? Something is obviously staying open since it doesn't allow it to completely lock.

Lol I'm having the same problem.
A good solution? Take that shit out, and put in hood pins, or the aero latches.

Saving up for a pair now.
For the meantime I have a metal hanger wire in there looped and tied down to keep the hood secure.

most the time the cable is sticking because tire has been rubbing it pull it back with a screwdriver and shut hood

on the latch itself pry the little finger holding the cable towards the drivers side and close hood
