i agree music today sucks rap music makes me want to kill myself now all they talk about is money, hoes, cars, and how gangster they are.

huh? thats a conscious observation tonymac, never thought about it like that but then again,,, the music industry only caters to those people who want to listen to lil wayne cop car, and pop music all day,,, support underground artists...such as me self thats right i said me self....haha and once i put something out ya'll be about the last person to listen to it because its not on the radio anyways...

yea i was thinking of taking out my whole antenna assembly but i cant find a way to get to it

illegal downloads have changed the industry.

recording quality is getting worse in many cases and producers pressure artists to spit out albums in as little time as possible.

Like Method Man says "The music is getting treated like fast food (now)."

that just shows how much technology has affected this country. just look at the auto industry, imagine how many people lost jobs when they got those automated welders and paint booths, etc. technology is gonna be the death of this economy if we dont get a control over it. yea its cheap and free but its never a win win situation. thats just my 2 cents.

Im not sure how a legitimate, cost-effective, and higher quality means of plant operation can be compared to pirating music. You lost me on this one.

It correlates in that because the product is rushed, it takes away the human element. Listen to a Janice Joplin song or some old Metallica, even rap, before it became Hip Pop. It had meaning, it had fucking soul. That's what music or photography and all art is in general, expression of the soul. Everyone can draw something or play an instrument or take a picture, but the soul lets you make art with it. Everything now is packaged and labeled so it can be sold as fast as possible.

due to the technological advances originally starting with napster artists today are now suffering from millions of illegal downloads. and do to the technological advances in many fields its becoming harder to find jobs like in the auto industry. i wouldnt be surprised to see all of us replaced by computer programmed robots.

Music today sucks?

You are listening in the wrong places then man. And whats a radio? Havent heard of that since I was young...

There are almost two friggin hundred countries in the world....think about what that means for the amount and styles of music being produced. Its massive. There's so much awesome shit out there just waiting for people to turn that mtv bullshit off and listen

Yeah...now they can't afford to hire tibetan monks to fight against lions in golden cages while they watch from a balcony surrounded by $1000 a minute hookers and sip champagne made with liquid diamonds and tears from virgin supermodels......:ugh:

All I say whenever someone brandishes that argument is that, the amount of money I've spent on music and merchandise (cds, shirts, stickers, concert tickets, etc) since the advent of p2p and torrents is MUCH more than what I spent before ''illegal'' sharing got big...

You hear that Metallica? That kill em all patch I bought was thanks to piracy, bitches.

I literally haven't watched t.v. since the year 2000, and trust me, I don't just listen to music from the U.S. But Pop here or in china is still fucking pop, and unfortunately the majority of the music readily available to anyone is crap. i know I can find good music online, that's where I get most of what I listen to, my comment comes from the fact that on the hour drive back from yesterdays meet I had to listen to the radio to stay awake and I wanted to fucking stop and yank the thing out and throw it on the road. I didn't have any CD's or an MP3 player so I just listened to music because NPR would have put me to sleep and I realized how bad things have gotten. NO FUCKING ORIGINAL THOUGHT PERIOD. Then today I ran into the two videos from the original post and found that funny.
