motor bog/ stock KA

i have a 93 hatch with a 96 KA... when i hit it full throttle it bogs untill i hit higher rpms then runs fine... its not the maf, i changed the plugs, wires are good, i dont know what to do anymore... please help.. trying to get it ready for ter-tech....... im gona change the fuel pump next week...

Why are you changing the fuel pump if it runs fine at higher rpm's (meaning, your fuel pump is definatley working).

idk.... i went to countyline and the car ran fine.. came back, and it started doing that.. i swapped the maf with another maf and it runs the same.. it could be a vac leak.. ill check that out tommarow.. thanks, any other sugestions would be greatly appretiated..

ok, well i think it is the maf... im changing it today.. i tried the carb cleaner and i have no vac leaks... and a couple of peeps at the meet last night said its the maf to... but thanks to alll and see you at ter-tech if your there...

they do have MAF cleaner at advanceauto

dont spray carb cleaner it tends to dry up the hoses and ends up cranking after awhile. use starting fluid and spray very little by every vaccum conntion, where the hose goes in the throttle body and brake booster ect. if the rpms rev up then u have a leak there if not check the next spot.

if its the maf. the car wont rev over 2500. it kinda sounds like a fuel problem. check fuel pressure.

i changed the maf and it still does it a lil bit..

i think it is a fuel problem..

you sure plug wires are fine? if its only happening at the same RPM range everytime thats gonna be spark issue IMO

my car bogs a lot in first gear when first driving it cold. Espectially when im stopped at a stop sign & i lanuch its like it bogs and hesitates then it goes after it reaches 1.5k rpms, it doesn't bog anymore. Only when cold
