Im undecided:
The fairground is closer, and would be alittle cheaper, possibly more seat time cause of opening later as long as we keep the cone knocking down and no one gets one hour of track time to themself.

Moroso is still driving distance(closer than oscala, and we used to drive there) would be nice to get a road course but can u give an example of track layout on moroso?
 
track layout is on the link as mentioned above, road course, Moroso is about 20 miles from fairgrounds so distance difference is nothing. kart track is absolutely too small. it would be 1st gear at about 6 miles per hour at the fastest point. way too tight for any kind of car we drove on it in a Mini and that was barely able to make the turns what you see in the pics is not reality it is way too small, everyone can stop dreaming about that, it is nothing like Ocala.

have to disagree I and Tim loved it. The road course is fast for many, but it is real road track not pacman world, no joke. we all need to get more professional and what's more professional than having events at a real road course.
 
Moroso definitely. If all you guys want to step up your driving, Moroso is the place. The straights are shorter than they look because it is high speed. And you can just Choku drift the straights anyway.

So who wants to do 4th gear entries and not get bitched at for dropping tires???

I'm raising my hand. Plus the track owner is down with drifting, and drifting on a real racetrack makes it a lot easier for you guys to market yourself to real sponsors.

I think the main reason it eats tires is because it is high speed and each pass is about 1/2mile, but the surface is a lil rough in some areas I remember.
 
i know and hence my previous post i'm waiting on a google earth of this track i've never seen how big/small those turns really are
 
that fuking sucks about the stupid drop top rule. what the hell man? whats so different about now? w/e guess i wont be sliding at an event for a while....but what does it matter i already missed the last one so it already started...

I'll do a roll bar for you for like $250, maybe cheaper. PM me and when I get back in town I'll check some specs and see what materials will cost. It wont be much.

I'd definitely like to see the next event be at the road course. I wasn't able to make the last parking lot event but I definitely found my share of videos from it enough to get an idea of the layout and the event (and it was a great event). But I'd really, really like to get some time out on the road course because I think it will make all of us progress as a group...besides, if we don't like it at all (tires/time/track), we can ALWAYS go back to the WPB lot and slide that next time...so we might as well try the road course atleast once! :)

My vote - Road Course!!!!!!!!!!

BTW - Is most of section we are on 2nd gear or is there any 3rd gear stuff? It's hard to get an idea of the size/scale of the track from the picture posted...thanks Harri! :)

moroso sounds good,
but it wont bee good for Beginers.
and beginers are more than HALF the people that sign up.....
so..........
i dunno. i think WPB RULES .
so my vote is WPB>

just change the track layout!!!!
 
fairgrounds.....with varied course layouts.

OR both moroso and fairgrounds, one month here....next month there....
