Cool, I am just afraid I will show up there and hold everyone back, you know the guy who shows up and is absolutely clueless and everyone makes fun of him.

I wanted to do this earlier but I was always putting it off till I upgraded my suspension, I am almost ready for the new suspension so I figured screw it, let'r rip.

To all you n00bs... I will tell you something that will help you a lot.... if you spin out dont get mad (i used to do that alot) just think of what you did wrong, drive out of the track and try it again... is not worth it to spin out once, then in the same run spin out again... you are making yourself feel bad... just thing about the entry, think if you counter too much, etc ... by getting back on the line it gives you a chance to cool down and think of your mistakes. my .02 cents... the event where i have gotten pissed off cause of my perfornmance i do really bad... but the events where i go in with a fresh outlook i perform very good.... :bigthumbu

Helmet info is common sense stuff it is for your safety not mine every single motorsport event at a racetrack not parking lot will require a snell aproved helmet, Ter-Tech is trying ot bring drifting in Florida to next level there fore these changes are needed.
As said earlier sorry for the short notice I thought everybody knows, if you cant get a helmet let me know I'll let you use mine.

Next levelis all fine and dandy, but how hard is this making for the entry level newcomer??? These expenses are adding up quickly... as for everyone "knowing" about the SA helmets... how would we ever know?? Everyones been rocking motorcycle DOT helmets since the first event.

gOTTa agree on those expenses..

I was planing on getting a good helmet anyway. I do auto cross as well and was getting tired of using the sweaty loaners so I knew motorcycle helmets were out of the question.

I hope I get that spot, the response is overwhelmingly positive and I cant wait to go. Either way I will be there drifting or not.

Hey,
I dont know much about helmets. Is SA2005 good? I would think thats the date at which it was rated? or what. Im pretty much f*cked either way. I had just enough to get tires... I need to pull money out my ass now for a helmet..bummer. lol oh well. thats life.

For Tech to pass you in Nopi, FD, or D1, the helmet they look for is SFI certified and it is the SA2005, thats what i use. had no problem passing D1 tech and of Nopi passed it. But for what u need for moroso, u can go to Super Walmart and pick up a DOT helemt for i think $74.99. I use to use that bell helmet from walmart at every event before getting liscensed, then i had to spend money out of my ass like u wouldn't believe to pass tech!

Yea according to anothony..

"You need a Snell approved helmet Snell 2000 or better."

So no M DOT helmets will pass. Man, I wonder how many people out of the 60 are going and didnt know about this. I think we are going to see alot of unhappy people at moroso who wont beable to drive.

SA2005 is the latest there is.
Snell does their ratings every 5 years. So a Snell SA2005 means it is up the latest specs. You are good to go.
