We have gotten many requests from local guys looking for Formula D spec legal cages so they can run the events + do tandem. We have put together an installed price for those that are interested. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Formula D Spec Legal Cage - 1900.00 installed
Using 1 1/2" .095 DOM Mild Steel Tubing

You will get:
Main hoop with harness bar and diagonal
A-pillar bars
Horizontal/Parallel Door bars
Rear Down Bars

Options you can have:
Nascar style door bars - 350.00
Rear X-brace - 175.00
Rear strut brace - 75.00
Dash Bar - 75.00
X-door bars w/ gussets - 250.00

Any straight bar addition - 75.00
Any x-brace addition - 175.00

** Cars must come without interior. Just driver seat. Dash maybe in there with 1 or 2 bolts securing it in **

Yes Mazworx does amazing work. But I don't see a majority of people in florida dropping that much on a cage unless they are building an actual FD spec car. For just doing tandem and such there are people who with throw together a average cage for far less.

I am in the market for a cage. (s13)
Not looking to spend $2000
Anyone know how to get one installed for around 1200-1500
I know mazworx will do a great job. Iam a amateur and car could get taken out anytime.
Don't want wrap $2000 in this chassis at this time
Live in Melbourne and have truck and trailer.
Have a mazworx mani and it's awsome.
10-4 come back

We can fit that budget into a 6 point roll bar if your interested. The one we have posted is for something that will definetely pass tech @ any Formula D event. We just followed their rule book. But if there is something else you are looking for, let us know. There is something definetely we can do that will pass tech around that price range.

perhaps these pictures are not of the FD cage, but its rather misleading if so.

your REAR DOWN BARS that are welded to the CROSS BARS are not FD Legal. the DOWN BARS must attatch directly to the shock towers or the floor.

7.4.8 Rear Hoop Supports:
The main roll hoop shall have two braces extending to the rear attaching to the frame or chassis. Braces shall be attached as near as possible to the top of the main hoop not more than six (6) inches below the top and at an included angle of at least thirty (30) degrees. No bends are allowed on rear braces. On cars where the rear window/bulkhead prohibits the installation of rear braces, the main hoop shall be attached to the body by plates welded to the cage and bolted to the stock shoulder harness mounting points.

and your DOOR BARS are also NOT FD LEGAL. must be 2 bars, in an X, or parallel.

7.4.11 Side Protection:
All cars shall have a minimum of two (2) door bars across each front door opening. The door bars may run parallel, or in the shape of an “X”. If the two door bars do not intersect as they do when forming an “X”, then a minimum of two vertical tube sections shall connect the upper and lower door bars. Teams may also choose to install a second row of double horizontal door bars that run parallel to the inner bars and extend into the outer door skin, these are also known as “NASCAR-STYLE” bars. In this configuration, the outer bars must also have a minimum of two (2) vertical tube sections connecting the upper and lower bars. The inner door panel and door internals may be removed.

I think the pictures he posted up isn't suppose to be FD legal. That is just a cage they could do for cheap to drift local events and stuff.

yea after reading it again it seems you are right. i expected the pics in a thread saying FD spec, to be that lol. well, other than that.... the price seems normal, nothing more or less than you'd expect to pay for FD cage.

just the safety gear (cage+ suit/seat etc) on the cheap side is going to run someone easily $3,500 to be FD legal. its not something you want to do unless YOU WANT TO DO IT.

If that price seems too high, you probably don't need an "FD spec" cage, because the entry fee for your first FD event is almost the same price! haha :( :(

Price isn't bad at all, the welds look clean and strong on cage. I would say it would be worth the price.

Yea you are going to have to be completely dedicated to FD if you are looking to throw down that much cash on the entire setup that you need...but I encourage to go for it if you really want it
