Mass Effect 1 & 2 have been the Best RPG/3rd Shooter Ive played since Final Fantasy 7 and Metal Gear Solid1-4. Every you do in part 1 will affect the story part 2 and 3 while if you only have part 2 it will affect the story in part 3 but you really need all 3 games to complete the story arc.
