Manual cars a thing of the past? (Good read)

their funny...... if i had a auto GTR I'd throw the transmission in a pit of fire, throw is off a cliff then crush it.... and i would have a custom manual tranny made for it.... auto sucks period if 2nd or 1st gear break you can't shift... with a manual with at least you could shift past the brken gear... I'm sorry I'll always be a manual guy period.

auto = cock sucker.

Manual cars are more fun...simple, its more of a challenge and you dont get bored so easily, my car is slow as hell but i still make it fun cuz its manual, if it was auto i would of trashed it by now.

well try push start a no clutch manual car lol... stick will always be around since is extremelly cheap to build, and low maintenance. unfortunately it might only be found on the future in cheap cars...

this must just be in the U.S., cuz when I brought my auto Nissan Frontier to Greece, no one knew what it was. they were all like "it only has 2 pedals??? And the shifter is on the column???" They all have manual transmissions...

^def true in Nicaragua there is no such thing as automatic. Manual will always be a better choice for foreign countries and shit

manual is a better choice for racing period it doesn't matter how fast you can shift it's all about skill.

your a dumbass cause a auto tranny is better for drag racing cause most people cant shift as fast as a auto tranny can so you fail. :bigthumbu

drag racing is a little different I'm talking about racing in general like nascar, lemans, and other types of racing... manual is used more in racing then a automatic :bigthumbu

you said racing period that includes drag racing think before you type

oh and nascars for fags

okay fine. list me racing leagues that use autos and list me leagues that use manual... I.E. F1, indy, lemans, sprint car etc

point is in MOST race cars it'll be a manual tranny

oh and BTW even in drag racing there are some cars that use manual ;)

the biggest reason why manual cars have always been a thing for race cars in the past was because they could make trannies that could shift fast enough, and the bigger problem was take the power that most racing motors made. Now a days the tech is there for auto trannies to shift faster then any human can and also they can handle the horse power, that is why you are finding more and more auto trannies in race cars, ie Indy, F1 cars they are paddle shift sure but they are auto trannies they arent manual.
