Manabu Orido's new D1 Car Shakedown

sounds pretty badass, I wonder what that lever is on the right side though near the door. I see a shifter and ebrake on the left like normal....hmm.
 
mehh. The driving blows. Maybe he still needs to get use to the car. And I see no angle. The v8 is cool though.
 
so let me get this straight the Japanese beat US to the V8 punch with this car.
 
Supposedly there was a timing belt issue when he took it out. But the car sounds bad ass. We just gotta wait till it's competition ready.
 
theres no timing belt on a 2ur-gse. its a chain driven v8 based on the same v8 in the lexus ls460 and was only developed for the is-f by yamaha. the block is also the same platform for the 5.7l v8, 3ur, in the tundra. either way that motor didnt come cheap
