That D1 weekend was a good one for "unknows" like Djan, McNamara and John Rusakoff(I believe). The most notable unknow in D1 has to be Tetsuya Hibino in his carbed 150ps Levin coupe in Ebisu 04 I believe. Thats where he literally flew into the final round with Nomuken and almost beat him, he took out some heavy hitters on his way to the finals. If you haven't heard of him one word sums him up. . .insane :bigthumbu .
 
that forth video is amazing man...damn guy has some balls chasing him that close while he is sliding lol.
 
That's pretty amazing, although I could never explain how Vaughn Gittin took D1. I still dont think he can make full use of all that power.

But regardless... it's amazing to see the hachi keeping up, and even more so... not letting the Mustang close in when followed.
 
OMFG that was fucking breathtaking, video 4 is amazing. That's some serious inspiration right there. I love when the underdog wins :D
 
It was awesome but I think that the pass made on Gitton was illegal since it was offline the perfed line is out near the wall then inward when they run irwindale reverse, this was takeing advantage of Gitton running the proper line. I think the guy could have won without the pass.

Also when he hit immamura there should not have been a one more time he forced him offline and that is a DQ.

D1 is great sometimes, no wonder drifting is not considered a professional motorsport yet we don't even fallow our own rules.
