Live from Formula D...sort of (Day 1)

Pro's practice is still in session. Some of them are still having issues figuring out the track.

If you were planning on bringing your tent to the event, leave it home. There's barely any space for people to put them up because of the grandstands.

Don't know where the expensive section is but most of the grandstands has the fence in the way. If you're sitting by the judges area then you're not going to get a good view of the entry.
 
The entry is still throwing some people off. To give you a breakdown of how they're going through the track.

Full throttle through the first turn, let off to switch back, use the momentum to throw you wide, use the ebrake to push you out if necessary, use the front brakes to slow you down if you're going too fast, once you've gotten close to both outside clipping points slowly get back on the power to finish the sweeper, throttle some more to get past the left clipping point and left off to switch back the other way, then get back on the power again to get close to the right clipping point and on your way out be careful with the wall to your left.

That and by the start of the grandstands IMO. Also by where the outside clipping points are at looks good.

Daigo is on point as expected.

Forsberg still looks to be having grip issues. Keeps missing the outside clipping points.
 
Days over. Going over to the kick off party now. ProAm practice, qualifying, and competition taking place tomorrow!
 
Spoke to Pat, said he felt comfortable with the course. For the most part he's in 3rd but is entering in 4th.

Jeremy Lowe got to the track at the end of the day and said he didn't need the practice. His confidence is high now that he has America on his side.

Latino Hibino made me fall into the bleachers. >:[
 
damn it, I cannot wait! I am kind of upset about the fences though. I was all excited about having clear open area to shoot from the spectator areas. However, safety first.
 
Yo, this is Latino Hibino. Just using Giacomo's laptop. lol. Sorry about making you bust your ass on the bleachers. You gotta stop looking at my man boobs, because you get excited, and these things happen. Good seeing my SFL peeps.
