Legalize it Support HR 2943

Its sucks that a Law enforcement officer has the right to risk his life everyday, yet I don't have the right to choose what I do with my own life.........

well you could always live out in the wilderness. complete freedom is there but you have to give up your connection with society because with society naturally comes laws that protects the individuals from the actions of others.

anyonw who read the first paragraph of the NORML site can realize this bill is NOT for decriminalization or for personal use, only eliminates the federal governments role in the prosecution of those guilty of possesion and leaves it up to the state to be the governing body, so even if this passes and your state still has possession laws you're still going to jail but now you won't end up in prison. but this is a step in the right direction but would only really be good for those in states that have lax possession laws or personal use acts in place.

just move to mexico they passed personal use law for most recreational drugs in august.

or say fuck it and smoke blunts like its legal and don't drive around with more than you can eat...

Eliminating the Fed's will push most state's in the right direction then the state level voting will go alot more smoother ( It's ok federaly so why can't it be okay by state law?)

Decriminalizing on a fed level is a good start

It's the best way to try to win this war agenst weed.

This Thursday: US Senate Committee To Debate Reevaluating The Drug War!

This Thursday, December 3, members of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee will debate Senate Bill 714, The National Criminal Justice Commission Act of 2009.

Senate Bill 714 will establish a `National Criminal Justice Commission’ to “undertake a comprehensive review of the criminal justice system … and make reform recommendations for the President.” The lead sponsor of this measure, Democrat Senator Jim Webb of Virginia, has remarked that this review ought to include a debate of federal marijuana policy, including regulating marijuana like alcohol.

It’s been many years since a federally appointed commission has taken an objective look at American criminal justice policies, and it’s been nearly 40 years since federal lawmakers have undertaken a critical examination of U.S. marijuana policy. Please take time today to urge your United States senators to support Senate Bill 714. If your senators sit on the Senate Judiciary Committee, then it is especially important that that they hear from you. For your convenience, a pre-written letter will be e-mailed to your members of Congress when you enter your contact information here:

After you have written your senators, please take a moment to write or call Sen. Webb and thank him for raising this important issue.
