It is one of the options. in ETC.. IIRC
 
Thats fine and dandy......but I cant get to ECT. The car starts up, and it automatically runs to safe mode. The buttons dont do shit. Its frozen
 
Take that shit out, wait for ROM tune, and if you're still having problems, change your MAF.

FWIW, stock S14 SR20dets have 370cc injectors from the factory on the same (for all intents and purposes) t28 turbo so running stock S13 SR20det injectors is not a problem. And I wasn't blaming you - I know you bought the car with the injectors already installed. I think the SAFC was a bad idea however.

You never said what kind of MAF you're using...stock?

stock mafs, the reason why he cant set anything in the safc is because he says its in some kind of safe or demo mode. I told him to look through the manual again. If he could set the safc i bet it will run.

Indeed. If the car is starting and it it going strat to safe mode maybe it is wired up wrong.

Who did it? Did they solder it? Or cut and tape shit?
 
are you positive you have the airflow signal directions going correctly? from sensor, IN safc, out safc to ecu? You cut the airflow sensor wire to intercept the signal, not just splice into it.
 
I get the problem, but nobody seems to understand why that problem even is or how to get rid of it. Since the SAFC's already been wired wrong once, i'd bet its wired wrong now. So I stand by my suggestion of getting rid of that thing and waiting for the ROM tune.

I agree. ROM > S-AFC alone.
 
Dunno of this means anything, but we used wiring diagram N-3 with hotwire. Is this the correct one?
 
I used N3-b for my stupid ka.

Just double check the year and corresponding diagram. and double check to see if you have your wires backwards.

no one knows anything about safe mode on this stupid contraption?
 
Did you wire the 2 grounds the the right wire in the correct order? Also the 2 12v in the right order? Who wired it? Was it soldered or spliced and taped? Is there a reset?
