Don't know but I have been talking with the guy that run these events and seems to be cool people. I was going to drive there Jan 28th event in Jacksonville but it got cancelled. I watched some of there vids, and it seems tobe parking lot events. I haven't talked to anyone that has done one of there events tho. It would be nice if I knew someone that drove an event up there.

from my understanding the parking lot is pretty huge. If its as big as Steve has claimed it to be its a fun place where most can have some fun in 3rd gear if capable. :) I wish I could make it to this one but one of my motocross races falls on that sunday down in Okeechobee. :/

I'll post back when I get the details on some trial runs that are suppose to be going on this weekend or next.

I will be going as soon as I receive the flyers to test the Entry speed and layout of the track.

Check back after the weekend!

KMS Drifting Championship Series Judging Guidelines

1. KMS Drift Championship Guidelines

KMS Drift events are judged, driving skill contest held on courses that emphasize car handling and agility rather than speed or power. Drifting is a form enabled by the talent of the drivers to control a vehicle through corners at speeds and angles that exceed the vehicle's ability to adhere to the roadway. Drifting, entrants are judged and awarded points based on their car control ability. Car control is defined as demonstrating techniques that carry speed while holding a high slip angle and maintaining the proper racing line through a prescribed course. Judging is also based on the capability of each car and how well the driver is able to use its full capabilities.

Events generally are held on a paved, flat surface, wherein the course typically consists of straight sections and connecting turns or corners. The course layout should be such as to emphasize car handling, driver skill, and maneuverability rather than performance. The course is generally well enough defined so that memory is not required to remain on course. Where course conditions permit tandem runs will be allowed by KMS Drift.

At the start of the competition, all entrants compete in solo runs that are judged and awarded points based on car control. After all solo runs are completed, the top 16 entrants will compete in solo runs. The top eight competitors will then compete in tandem runs. From there, the semi-final four will be chosen; then the final two, and then an overall winner.

This is the concept we are going with, Going to be a high speed course, should be really fun, really entertaining! I can only imagine this tandem.
and all meanwhile being really safe for the spectators while giving them a great view!

Get rid of that horseshoe after the long initiating right, it doesn't make sense to go ham in 3rd, and drop it down into 2nd midway through the course; just give it a consistent radius back towards the rest of the course, it won't be as many turns and transitions, but it'll make it way more fun.

Steve0 i meant to talk to you today, but did not get any time, as it was only me at the event and i got caught up talking with everyone.

Ill be at CFRC next saturday for sure. I'll try and spot you near your car (only way i'd find you lol as i don't know what ya look like)

I will say this however,

people are going to carry WAY too much speed into the area where the yellow sign and Press/pit/box area is if we do not create some way to slow down.
