Kevin Grenier’s 350z Flip and Crash at DMCC

Watch this cell phone video footage of Kevin Grenier’s Nissan 350z flipping over at Drift Mania this weekend. It looks like quite a crazy accident and I cannot seem to figure out exactly how he flipped over since the video starts so late but it happened. Sorry for the small size of the video and enjoy the wreck since both drivers walked out okay.

The black car came sliding into his front right corner and literally wedges the 350z up on top of it and the momentum caused it to roll over.
 
from what I can tell, the black car seems to be spun out and going backwards as the video starts. I think the 350 then decided to avoid and go around and got pinched and flipped from, like nealio said, the momentum of the hit/pinch.
 
black car backwards into side of 350z, slammed between both wall and car the car has nowhere else to go but up!
 
I agree with box, it seems as though the black car was the lead and Kevin tried to go outside of him in an attempt to avoid a direct collision. I'd say that Kevin was expecting the other car to stay sideways and scrub a lot of speed, but was caught in a bad situation when the other car came all the way around and and maintained decent speed towards the wall.
 
350z should have been next to the other car, seen he was spinning, and come to a stop or slowed down a bunch. Not be on the outside of him and trying to go around him as he spun. I guess why you should follow people even if they aren't taking the right line.
 
Dood went back out after that and tried to qualify. Car obviously felt alot different and the front upper control arm rubbed the tire and he hit again.
