just swapped a fresh ka in a friends car and it runs great besides the fact that when you floor it, it makes no power.
also, in neutral, a quick pedal to the floor hardly goes past 2000.
can anyone help us out?

thanks!

did you pull out the distributor during the swap? what year is the car? Where did the maf come from? BE DESCRIPTIVE!!!

well i did write kade so its not a single cam..
and the maf was from a 91, not sure of the year of the motor, i believe its a 93.
the distributor was swapped over, but the timing is correct.

damn im almost done with my swap i hope i dont have this problem :bigthumbu...
does it smoke or make any weird noises when you floor it??

no smoke, no noises.
and it doesnt seem like itd be injectors or dist coil, its not misfiring, its just not pulling..
or could it still be that?

If your not going to be helpful, then stay out of the technical section.

With the car idling, can you turn the distributor clockwise and counter clockwise all the way without it dieing?

make sure its timed to TDC and then 20* btdc when running.

Make sure the FPR is hooked up to vacuum, my vacuum line slipped off mine and started running the same way.

wouldn't stop it from going past 2k rpms... It would just run at full fuel psi which it does anyways at WOT.
