so this is were i stand right now. this weekend i pulled the motor on my pignose (s13). I pulled it because the oil pump gave out one day and locked my engine.
So saturday was spent pulling out the old SOHC. then on sunday I dropped in my spare SOHC. the swap was a success, it even started on first try. But my timing was out of hand.
At first it was really bad and as the motor settled in it got a little better but still running off time.
When putting in the spare SOHC, i replaced the timing chain guides, chain, tensioner, and cam and crank gear. Aswell, i had put a brand new oil pump.
The distributor is moved all the way to the right but is still off time. If i move it to the left it just gets worst, so it stays to the right for now.
Can anyone give me any ideas of how to get my shit back on time.
Also can anyone let me know the wire order on the distributor (ex: were the 1 goes, 2, 3, 4) just to make sure i have them in the right places.
