well im new to wiring and im really cofused on whats going on

the car is a 1990 KA24E and was at a shop(worst shop ever) and they swapped a 93 KA24DE engine in it..heres the part that really confuses me

i think the shop put in an automatic engine harness so now the MAF connector wont connect to the MAF i have or is it the wrong MAF? how can i tell?

the car was origonally a manual but i think the shop replaced all the wiring with automatic so i think i have an auto engine harness, auto ecu, and a coupe interior harness...

its really hard to tell because the shop didnt really give me any info on what they did. they just did stuff to the car and i got tired of it so i took it back before it got any worse

i really need help on this because its all i need to get the car running. so how can i tell if i have the wrong MAF and/or how can i tell if the engine harness is auto or manual?

1990-1994 use the same maf auto or 5 speed
1995-1998 use a different maf
need pics of maf

your maf should look like this

if it looks like this then its the wrong maf

my car is in FL so i cant really say much. i remember its a 4 prong connector. not the 3 so thats why it wont connect

the ka24de is a 4 prong...u may have a single cam maf....that ur trying to use...

i have a dual cam sensor if u want it but it looks liek the problem is that u got a single cam maf, did they finish the swap? im sure ur car dont run rite now

yea they finished the swap. it starts.l i was to scared to try to drive it. i didnt want to ruin anything

so i have a SOHC MAF?? hmm. how much does a DOHC MAF cost??

once i move back to FL then ill buy a MAF. also heres a wiring harness the shop gave me when i asked for the wiring harness.

this is the one that used to be on the car i think?.

which harness is this? upper? lower? i think its lower because ive tried to connect the MAF to all the plugs on this harness. unless i missed a few

hmm does it? well i guess i dont have to hardwire my taillights then. because the shop put a coupe harness in my hatch... i dont see how they thought it was going to work seeing as they have different taillights lol. so i guess ill bring the harness back down to FL with me and see if it will allow me to connect my taillights

i really recomend that no one ever goes to this shop (Roadkill auto) if your in the sarasota/bradenton area. its run by theives and people who dont know how to do things right.

things they stole off my cars

coupe taillights
battery
intake
center console
one SE wheel

i bet if i had the car out there a little longer it would be gone
