ka24de...parts list...

ok heres the deal...i now have an additional ka24de thanks to the good people at Ter Tech! ..ok so heres my delima.... i want to build my KA so that i can pop it into my 240 an get rid of my single cam currently occuping the engine bay.....first thing on my list is the greddy turbo set up....comes with fuel rail, injectors; 370cc, ex. manifold, turbo, filter, e-mange set up (pre programed for 6psi/ 225 hp)~ 2700 + shipping of course....(not a bad deal)...intercooler for 723.00 more/ with piping....

.... Kouki tail light set up / 485 + shipping...

.... im thinking that i may have to buy a new wire harness if i cant locate the original or can i use the S13 harness? ..if not then i will need a S14 type harness...its a 97' KA/ ...anyone know any good places to get that without going through hell to get one?

.... next im tryn to decide on a pair of sides and bumper for a kit.... i already have the front converted to the S15/ cf hood and the front bumper has a lip. any ideas?

.... then i will have some paint work completed shortly...(more like June or so)

ok...all my 240 specialists please give me your reccomendations on getting the 240 into the game...
It currently has a single cam ka in there/ tein basic suspension and an apexi n1 turbo universal exhaust...with an S15 front end conversion.

...this money was supposed to be for my turbo set up in my 350z but i choose to put it in the 240 to get it up to speed...or should i just finish the Z and drop the who 7 grand on turbo an tuning to drift the Z?
 
Justin, before you order that turbo kit, talk to me about pricing. ;)

For the OBD2 KA's, I think you just need an ECU and MAF w/ the dohc (any) wire harness. Talk to DJ, he's running an OBD2 KA in his S13.

Do you really think you'll drift your Z after all that money and time? She's a pretty pretty car!

Oh and give me some good news about some body work PLEASE!!! :)

GReddy setup = WASTE! Plain and Simple. You can put together a Similar or Better kit for less $$$

To get the motor running in your car right you can do one of two things:
1)Get a S13 DOHC Wire harness, ECU, and Distributor. Also S13 Intake Manifold(The 96+ KA uses ODB2 So the Plenum hasal sorts of unnessicary Vacuum. You CAN use the 97 Plenum but it will take some work.) Slap all that on your motor and BAM your good to go.

2) Get and S13 DOHC Harness and ECU and wire your S14 Distributor To run on that Harness. A little more difficult. The difference in distributors is the S14 uses a INTERNAL COIL while the S13 is external(makes it hella easier to run an aftermarket coil)

IMO spend the money on the 240. I heard of Zs being pretty hard to tune and such when turbo.

ALSO VERY IMPORTANT: If you want Power Steering you need the linesfrom a DOHC S13!!! DO IT WHILE THE MOTOR IS OUT! :D

ahhh....i knew i would get the proper guidence regarding my 240!.... ill keep you guys posted as to when the tax return funds come in and the buying begins!

as said before, do NOT get the greddy kit; i think u would have a much better setup if u pieced it together urself. if u are looking for a prefabbed kit, id probably suggest the IAP kit over the greddy kit anyday of the week.
