KA24DE: Need help.

Motor is a KA24DE. Car had been running fine. Got to work in the morning with no issue. About an hour ago, as I was getting ready to leave, I started the car and the motor within 10 seconds of starting (cold start) began to misfire heavily. It was releasing excessive amounts of what appeared to be light blue smoke through the exhaust. Now I know that blue is usually an indication of oil making its way past the rings or the valve seals but the scent of it was exactly that of raw fuel. The smoke was consistent and so was the strong odor of fuel. What exactly am I dealing with? I am puzzled and definitely need some assistance. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Oh and to add on, once I shut off the car and let it sit for a bit I was not able to get it running again.
